I saw the long awaited sequel last weekend , and it was GREAT ! "30 Days Of Night: Dark Days" is a fantastic sequel. It starts right from the last scene on the snowy hill, where Eben dies in Stella's arms. Then the battles take place in Los Angeles where she and a few other friends battle the vampires and their human allies ! This film has alot of surprises but still keeps the dark deadly bloody atmosphere of the original "30 Days Of Night" film. Bring on more DARK DAYS !

what about: martin (very underated) , herzog's "Nosferatu", the hammer films with christopher lee, blacula, shadow of the vampire, near dark, salem's lot, daybreakers was pretty good, i always liked the b type movies like count yorga, graveyard shift, and angel of the night.

i say its the joint first best vampire movie, type in "let the right one in" part one, .look it's a swedish film with subtitles and it's nothing like this, but trust me, watch it with an open mind, it's very disturbing and you'll be thinking about it all the next day, and inspite of as much violence as this 1 you'll almost say it isnt a horror, ohh and the vampire is a 12 year old girl, but shes not a girl shes a boy whose had his bits chopped off, but trust me you'll be glad you watched it

Dear Legendkiller, a "30 Days Of Night" sequel is a MUST ! But I would make a few changes if I were writing the script. Suppose the Vampires attack an army base, or get inside a nuclear sub and threaten to launch nuclear missiles. I would have some evil brutal human villains too. Suppose a scientist creates a blood serum which makes the Vampires normal in the artic environment but they revert to deadly form when they are brought to the big cities for study.

Dear TNAROHfan, you're right ! These vampires were outstanding ! Superb ! But I was not pleased that the cast of vampires were not given big media interviews and profiles. The Vampires stole the show ! Even on the DVD they were not given proper attention in the post film extra features. They must must do a sequel !

The first one was not my favorite vampire movie, but those vampires (especially the female) were some of the most terrifying vampires I have seen. Just looking at that bitch sends chills down my spine. I like how they went back to the original vampire lore roots and went away from the sexual/sensuous route. I like the fact how they were more animal than human. That explores a deep ingrained human fear of a beast in human form moreso than the more widespread traditional hollywood vampire.

This is THE best horror flick that I've seen in a very long time. I'm with you Kaythind, how could anyone not love this movie. I thought the killing scences where very creative and well played out. Man I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie and I just bought it on DVD and will watch it over and over again....great movie.  They have to do a sequel, they just have to.

60 days of night? dumb? the sun goes below the horizon on nov 18th and stays there until jan 27th which is 67 days. each day the amount of twilight goes down and on the shortest day of the year.. dec 21st the twilight only last 3 hours. the movie was baller and if anything they should just call it another 30 days of night

that movie was so cool. it wasn't too scary, but reeeeeally gory in a horrifying way. but, who cares. i loved it! my favorite gory part was when they bit the guy with the beard in the power plant, and they had to push the dead cannibal thing (i don't think it was really a vampire, though, but kinda) in the grinders and they chopped their suffering friends head off. That was so sad, gory, and weeeeeird! cool movie
