i'm planning on buying a female rabbit since I already have a male... (just getting ready for that moment.) making sure I know what to do... Do you have to do anything to the babies when they're born???
I wouldn't recommend having a lot of contact with the babies, it's okay to touch them a little (all that rubbish about the mother leaving them after people touch the babies are myths) but to be on the safe side i wouldn't have a lot of contact with them :D just feed/look after the mother as you normally would :)
Rabbits normally full fur 2 days before they birth sometime a week before or even not pull untill they give birth, sometimes they wont pull fur at all this might be because there is enough in there nest 2 keep warm or they dont not intent to look after them, rabbits can carry there litter for 28-35 days

my rabbit gave birth and my mum didnt no y she pulled her fur off so we put it in a sealable bag and kept it until the next day when i went out to feed her and clean out her hutch and i went to replace the straw in he box and saw 4 beutiful little bunnies
, ohh emm geee, i have a rabbit , its a boy, i named him bugzy, : ) .. he is not as calm cause he really scratches me alot, and i need to get his nails cut, my moms friend had alot of rabbits so i got one from him .. wild ones. . he is calm around me sometimes but other times, he just claws mi friends. : ) .. ahah i thought it was frighting when "fudge" pult hair out !! lmaoo ,, i used to pull hair out of mi rabbits foot cause it was fun !! lmaoo.. great vid !
I'm presuming she was trying to prepare a soft place for her to have her young, using hay and hey fur =3 She's so pretty! I'm getting a rabbit soon. I don't have a clue what to call it though XD Are they destructive?

the pulling doesn't hurt. The body releases a chemical that loosens the fur.
Your rabbit is disorganized, also rabbits do not prepare a nest weeks b4 having kits,

Rabbits can prepare their nests 20 mins before they give birth. Sometimes they do it a couple of days before but not weeks! :)

i have a rabbit. she's a girl and called Flopsy (like flopsy, mopsy and cottentail). she can be a bit tempermental though. but she's so cool :)
