This is a terrible, terrible phone. The battery life sucks, the touch screen is difficult, it freezes and lags, and just today it crashed and deleted all my stuff. DO NOT GET THIS PHONE! It seems great at first but then it becomes terrible

i was hestitant to get it cuz i was waitin on the new HTC android phone but it seems Verizon isn't gettin this one supposedly comin out Jan 5th to t-mobile and i think at&t

also i didn't know if id like to have the trackball basically cuz it looks tacky imo, but i got the phone and am amazed in it!

i bet tho the next phone they have like this will have the trackpad like the blackberrys, i think it will look slicker too with that

The phone come with a 8gi card pop that into your computer and put your music on the card pop it in your phone and your ready to go...but I did not try sync yet pretty sure it does

Android is basically a Linux mobile app developed by Google and is open source by Linux law and has proven to do very well, if any thing is going to bring down the iPwn, is the HTC lineup with Android OS by Google... windows mobile is a joke, and BlackBerry cant even get their ass out of first gear. It is a race and looks like Linux is going to rule the future of PDAs.

yup the screen on the eris works the same way as the iphone and in my opinion its better and more responsive

FINALLY HTC IS USING CAPACITIVE TOUCHSCREENS. their phones were bomb except for the touchscreen. you really had to press, and it got annoying. thats why i never bought from them. now that theyre finally using capacitive, i might think about buying from them
