@manofdamatch yep. I should have waited till the mac was a little more used. My older unit without ever using one is still pretty much spotless. What happens is, little micro grains of dirt gets in between the layers and any slight movement is like sandpaper :(

@robbenter Yes, I had friends that said this. That dirt specks get between the case and laptop and scratch it.  So, the Apple Store recommend the Incase brand. It was confusing to put on (I'm not very spacial, so it might be just me), put now that it is on, I really like it. And so far so good. See Incase at goincase.com/products/

not the case it self, but if you get sand/dirt/grit or any other shit in it then for sure. just take the case off once a week and give it a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth and ur good to go.

The MacBook Aluminium is smaller than the MacBook White, and as it say's it's for the MacBook Aluminuim and not for the white one, then yes i do know "my shit"

When you get the case it says to clean it out once or twice a wekk doesnt it well instead of just wiping the inside with a dry microfibre i used a sink filled with warm water and a tincy tiny bit of washing up liquid i left it to soak for 10 Mins and then gave it rub GENTLY!

Then i took it out of the sink and left it to dry naturally just on a coffee bench or somewhere :)

Try it and get wonderfully new looking speck case :)

With that case alone, it will only fit on a MacBook Aluminium.

You will have to do some research of the makers of this case to see if they design cases compatible with the laptop you own.

It can be hard to get it off but just put a credit card inbetween a gap between the MacBook and the Case (You will have to pull the case off of the MacBook a bit then stick in the credit card and just run around the case).

No the case design between the two are different but there is still one for the Plastic MacBook but you cannot get the option of Satin or Plastic you only get the Plastic option.

There is a tiny speck logo in one corner - well actually its the word speck but its not very visible! the lid is really smooth apart from the logo which is raised slightly.

Nice Vid. The aluminum on the macbooks scratches fairly easily, I had mine without a case and i used it just like my plastic dell pc (which really can't compare to my mac), after about 1 month the macbook had 3 pretty visible scratches on the bottom. (thank god it was on the bottom though)

Its not too hard to remove the speck top - there are 5 tiny 'lips' which keep the lid on and you just have to remove the top one and then work your way round to the rest and its a delicate balance between being gentle and tough!!. Took me about 5 mins to work it out and i'm sure it will get easier to do!
