The office with the damn slippery assed floor and furniture was always my favorite part of the movie, that and the damn restaurant scene and the Weehauken Air.
HBO would show this and Heart Beeps, Super Fuzz, On the Right Track, Seems Like Old Times, Incredible Shrinking Woman, Nude Bomb, Twice Upon a Time, Strange Invaders, Susannah Smiles, Going Ape, Cannonball Run, and Jimmy the Kid a lot.
the way things are going in this 'deprecession' im about to crack up just like jerry is in this movie. "there is nothing to be afraid of....nothing can happen to me!" "there is nothing to be afraid of....nothing can happen to me!" ...
"main title sung by marcel marceau". did you catch that? this is epic stuff, up there with airplane, police squad!, top secret, or rather vice versa. lewis no doubt influenced the zuckers. strange how this isnt available on netflix etc. almost too subversive. just like the way police squad! was canned after only 6 episodes in '82. too funny for public consumption, without prescription.
I 've been searching for this film since i was a little kid. I just can't find the complete movie elsewhere on the internet. Does anyone know where to look? Surely some site must have it without having to pay to see it...
Starting at 5:30 he is destroying his body for our entertainment !! Think of the anti inflams he had to take after this movie !! What a true entertainer !!

Awesome, just awesome... One of my favorite movies, let alone Jerry Lewis movies. I saw it only a few times on tv growing up, and it totally made a mark on my subconscious. I never forgot it and have never found it to buy. Great! =D
@reformedfruit That is a good point: part of that is the 1970s feeling of it because in '83 there is still a lot of 70s stuff left around in design. Of course on a deeper level Lewis is channeling all of his experience of the oldest comedy (theater and vaudeville) and classical Hollywood traditions going back to the early 20th century. Of course Lewis is sui generis: he has a style wholly his own in the end.
Oh man! i miss this movie so much! I too, used to have this particular crazy funny ass movie on pre-recorded vhs until I had to get rid of it! Thank you so very much for bringing this great movie back to us! :)

I remember seeing this all the time on HBO some thirty years ago. It was usually on during the afternoon after school.

Great stuff. I never would have placed this as early 80's... something about the quality seems older.

@dandiacal - totally, particularly the bank heist/dancing sequence - that seems like all Lewis style humor. Very funny stuff.
