  • Also, ignore my typos. Don't call it poor spelling or grammar. They are there simply because I'm using my cell phone and the auto-correct is a piece of sh*t.

  • Just because you went to a smaller school, you're cocky and arrogant.

I received my degree from Penn State because I busted my ass! No one helped me, but me, and I'm a better person for it.

Big school, small school, big name, no name. Ultimately, the school you attend does not determine the quality of your education, YOU do that.

Please, don't rag on my school because it's a big school. I won't rag on yours for being small. I was just saying things for the sake of argument earlier, but hon

  • @Jefgg The quality of education anyone in any college receives is on the shoulders of that person and how badly they want that education.

College is supposed to be a challenge. You're supposed to grow up in college. The days of raising your hand and someone coming to help you are over. The professor gives you a assignment, it's on the STUDENT to do it, and only the student. It's a challenge and helps you prepare for the read world.

If you think you received a better education just because you

  • Jefgg has what we call "little man syndrome". He went to some little D3 school and thinks he's better than everyone else. Why did you go to a D3 school there, toots? Because you couldn't get into a real school. Go play in a bucket of herpes.

  • @phillyrainz68 I am a proud alumnus of The College New Jersey (née Trenton State College). When it comes to higher education bigger is not better. Golly gee, I sound like Dr. Ruth. Do you receive a higher quality education in classroom with a professor and twenty other students or as just another number in an enormous auditorium with a teaching assistant and hundreds of classmates?

  • @Jefgg. Why are all of your words double spaced after your periods?

You had the balls to talk about "abysmal" grammar. Grow up dude.

Also, I've never heard anyone refer to PA as, "Pennsytucky" or whatever non-sense you just made up. I would love to know where you went to school, as you see it that all Big 10 school grads are "neanderthals".

    Get a hobby dude.

  • Jerry Sandusky is Innocent Jk Lol

  • Joe Paterno is a true man, and should be respected for all he has done for Pennstate. He is my idol and my hero, and i will never forget this wonderful man.

  • He hit a grand slam and I congratulate him for having the stones to tell it like it is. The Penn State Board of Trustess, ie: Surma are cowards. Thank you Mr. Knight for telling the truth and for speaking up for all of us who share your feelings.

  • @Baldgol4 THE BEST TESTIMONY OF THE SERVICE. WERE YOU THERE?

  • Joe Pa didn't allow players to wear their family names on the back of their jerseys. He said it was because the team was more important than the individual. What a huge steaming pile of dog crap. Joe had no problem with a Nike swoosh on the front of the traditional Penn State jerseys. Money talks. I would like to think a young man's family name is much more important than a sneaker company who uses Third World child labor.

  • @Jefgg You're such an idiot. Joe never wanted that on there and said numerous times if it were up to him he'd take it off. Do you really think he was in charge of the entire university?

  • @NittanyNation22 Joe Paterno threw his weight around as if he was in charge of the entire university. There is no Santa Claus. That is what retards like you think Joe Paterno was. He was just a man. I actually think he was a very good man. But he made one enormous mistake. That does not erase his many good deeds, but seriously taints his legacy. Do you scrape off the Wite-Out when you are finished using the computer?

  • Fuck Phil Knight. And Fuck Joe Pa. He was just a useless old Guinea. He was only a figurehead for over a decade. Penn State is a great university ... if you fuck up your SATs and/or can't afford a real education.

  • @Jefgg You obviously are someone who knows what they are talking about. I'm sure you are or will be a hell of a parent, teacher, coach, humanitarian. Thank you for sharing your ignorance and bigotry. It makes people you have lived in Paterno's world realize there are still many of you who need help, and a lot of therapy. Hope you get both...

  • @jlibera1 Are you ... Penn State?

  • @Jefgg No, I am Ohio State. I am also a parent of two adult men (one a Yale graduate), an educator for 35 years, a coach, and both my parents were born in Italy. It sounds like your parents failed to teach you the same values Paterno has instilled in thousands of his student athletes and those of us who lived by his core values.

If you are "Penn State," then I suggest you ask to get your money back on your education, because you haven't learned much, except how to use the work "fuck."

  • @jlibera1 I am The College Of New Jersey. Penn State is a great university if you consider taking a multiple choice test with a teaching assistant once a month to be an education. I never bought the hype about Joe Pa or Penn State like you and so many other sheep have.

  • @Jefgg Like I alluded to earlier, the mind is a terrible thing to waste. Looks like you have wasted a lot of it at TCNY. You obviously know Penn State, about as much as I know TCNY, which is absolutely nothing.

I can understand your being upset that the world is imperfect, because it is. But to condemn a man who has done more in one bowel movement than all of your words have expressed collectively, brings this conversation to an end. Adios :)

  • @jlibera1 Both of your dads must be very proud of you. I have only one question. When you were a baby did they put a pacifier in your mouth? Or did they shove it right up your asshole?

  • @Jefgg Your School can't hold a candle made of shit to Penn State or Ohio State so I'd fuck off.

  • @pem5067 According to U.S. News & World Report’s latest annual rankings, TCNJ found a place near the top of the list in Best Regional Universities category for the northern region of the country. The 2012 edition ranks TCNJ as the number one public and fourth overall school in the standings among both public and private institutions in its category. Forbes ranks TCNJ the best NJ public college. Kiplinger’s ranks TCNJ #1 Best Value Public College in New Jersey.

  • @Jefgg Have you looked at the schools trailing them? yeah what I thought... all piss poor. Their jokes. #1 public school in new jersey isn't something to have on a pedestal

  • @pem5067 Your grammar is atrocious. You should have written "they're jokes" instead of "their jokes". Thank you for proving my point. I am the proud alumnus of a quality division 3 college where the emphasis is on learning.

  • @Jefgg Is your division 3 college the #1 recruited school for companies? Doubt it because Penn State holds that spot.

  • @NittanyNation22 Does the large enrollment of Penn State have something to do with being recruited by companies? Did you mean to use they word "corporation". That might have too many syllables for a Nittany Lion.

  • @Jefgg No. Penn State is their preference. Has nothing to do with quantity but rather has everything to do with quality. This is the last response you'll get out of me too so don't expect one back. I have better things to do than argue with a 9 year old on the internet.

  • @NittanyNation22 I concur that this discussion has reached a meaningful conclusion. Arguing on youtube is like racing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win you are still mentally retarded. You belong in Special Olympics. If you or any of your Pedophile State University brethren can not understand what I write I can email you the Cliff Notes upon request.

  • @Jefgg your learned about 1st grade grammar at your "quality" division 3 college? sounds like quite the institution...

also, on a side note, this is youtube, not an english paper.

  • @kthawk9473 When it comes to education, bigger is not always better. I would not expect you to understand that. There are many quality Division 3 colleges and universities. I enjoy watching football like many people do. But a sold out stadium for football games should not be confused with actual education. The Ivy League is the major league for higher education, not the Big Ten. And Ivy League schools do not offer athletic scholarships. They have the right idea.

  • @Jefgg I can clearly see by all the bullshit you've been spewing all over this video's comments that my 5 and a half semesters of an ongoing Penn State education have given me way more than your school gave you in your entire college career. Not only do you have no authority or credibility in arguing that smaller schools are better, you are exactly what is wrong with today's society. Narrow-minded, uneducated douchebags. You can save the response, I wont be looking for it anyway.

  • @jlibera1 ypu do know that Urban Meyer is a Joepa supporter right?

  • @Booboo5016 Urban Meyer among many others. If you've lived around anyone like a Joe Paterno, you've been blessed. It's not about a university or a football program. Those were just his arenas to teach young adults the values that separate us from "asshole" above. Jefgg equates his college to being better than a Penn State or an Ohio State. It's really not about the college. Some of my former students never went to college, but they have more wisdom in their left nut than Mr. Trash.

  • Phil Knight is one hell of a speaker

  • You're all dumb as fuck if you think Paterno is guilty of anything. Read some facts instead of ESPN, shitheads

  • "...Joe Paterno's response to it" was to be an accessory to child-rape

  • Phil Knight makes me sick. He should never have spoken in defense of Paterno.

  • 7:43 I'm on television!

  • Phil Knight really is the voice of reason. Anyone who hates him, even though you shouldnt, can fuck off. Joe was a great man who did so much good for so many people. I refuse to believe that this scandal, which he wasn't even that much a part of, ruined his legacy. R.I.P. Joe

  • @Dwk519 You must be a moron to actually say that.

  • Man fuck Joe paterno

  • @jinkybaby99 Fuck you!

  • @Dwk519 Fuck you! lol sorry I thought I'd add on to the intense argument going on between you guys.

  • @jinkybaby99 get you're black ass outta here

  • When someone is at the podium speaking like this, neither the media nor other detractors can shut them up or speak on their behalf, or put a self serving partisan spin on what they said. Wow this was quite a tribute to Joe Paterno, as well it should have been! Rest In Peace Joe, you taught us well, we will never forget.

  • @chriscraftnut Paterno was a moral coward and a child-rape enabler.

  • More people cared about a 85 year old college coach then the 31 seals who died in the same day with one Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher! it just goes to show how ignorant America really is!

  • Joepa was my hero. Phil knight is my new hero. R I P joepa

  • I am not a Penn State Alumn but I love this guy says it all. A true leader is willing to address the elephant in the room and does it with eloquence and class.

  • @penn state supporters..ok let's get to the real stuff that is important..who's gonna start at running back?

  • Joe Paterno is one of the greatest human beings to grace this earth with his presence. He will be missed, and no man at this point of time is more deserving of being called a hero than Joe Paterno. Anybody who has contributed to the desecration of this mans' name should really pick up a book called, The Crucible. He is a Saint among Saints now, and people can emulate what this man has done during his life but he can't be replicated. RIP JoePa, your legacy lives on forever. Sucess with honor

  • @WhiplashWhopper11 So, I'm guessing you find Joe Paterno a better guy than those 31 navy seals who died on the same day! Ignorance, it's trapped in every state of America.

  • Funeral: Just Do It

  • 2 subpoenas were issued because of what Joe DID do. He also went through the proper channels through Pennsylvania law. What about the principal at the school of the victim that told the mother not to report it? Why isnt HE on the front page? Because Paterno is the easiest scapegoat. What about the parents that let their own flesh and blood hang out with 60 year old men? How can you cover something up by reporting it? The real crime was done by Sandusky, not by Joe Paterno.

  • Simply embarrassing for Phil Knight, Penn State, and the victims of Jerry Sandusky. Knight completely ignores the facts of the child molestation case and rather than memorializing the man Joe Paterno, uses his time to promote his autobiography and lash out at Penn State. Unbelievable.

  • RIP Joe. You will forever be a Hero!!

  • @HellFireMissle1 Yes, Joe Paterno did the same by serving in the military during WWII, if you had done your research. And thing of honoring Joe the same day those men were killed was merely a coincidence, a bad on at that. The Penn State family is still allowed to mourn the loss, just as much as the families of those 31 are allowed to mourn there loss.

  • @klajcollege "their"

  • @Wilbur665 Oh darn it. I can't believe I did that.

  • @HellFireMissle1 To answer your question, Yes! Second, you need to back up with your family this and that dissertation. You are speaking rudely to me (a hero), an Air Force veteran and my husband who is still serving his country (also a Hero). Instead of passing judgement on others you know nothing about, how about you do something useful with your time and spread some much needed joy to those that serve their country and community. Bless your ignorant heart!

  • @lovevilly air force veteran. You were not in the front lines with my uncle in ramadi, iraq. Thanks for your service, but hero is not the term for you. Especially saying I'm ignorant, so you don't deserve,"hero" lol sad to even think your a hero in the first place

  • @lovevilly You certainly did not read my comments correctly.I was giving my respects to our troops rather than an 85 year old guy.You do not get what my point was,nor do I care what your opinions are about me or my family. So give me another harangue because I want to here what you have to say. I don't care if I seem provocative, the only provocative person here is you. You commented on my comment in which I simply was directing how ignorant americans are about an old man than 31 seals who died.

  • @lovevilly Hopefully I augmented this argument. Have a great life,"Hero."

  • @lovevilly You are mawkish. You said in your comment I was rude to you? You stated not to judge others, meanwhile you judged me by calling me ignorant. Proves your ignorant as well!

  • Mostly Media Tools posting here. RIP Joe.

  • @scottyb825 you state penners are the saddest thing going these days. Ever think its about doing the RIGHT THING vs doing THINGS RIGHT. It's called going above and beyond.. But I guess at PSU it's about doing the minimum... and little thing called following up. You know like following up on Phil knights 3rd world child labor sweatshops he made his billions. And I work in intelligence on fed level so please spare me the nonsense unless decide to join reality. Recruiters tell me they would me loo

  • Joe Paterno is a pedophile enabler and supporter. He is where he belongs. Penn State is now exposed for what it is; a shit school that can't compete with the SEC.

  • @MarathonVeteran but apparently it's okay that half of all SEC team members rape girls on a weekly basis? think about what you're saying before you hit enter. most of those SEC kids are thugs.

  • @ginaaudo Source?

  • @MarathonVeteran it must be nice to live in a world where you let the media think for you. Don't hurt yourself trying to make decisions on your own.

  • @kcsawyer Sandusky brought a young boy into Penn State's weight room to introduce him to Joe Paterno last September...That's where I made my own decision.

  • (I'm borrowing this from a child abuse investigator) I'd like to set something straight for those (even Joepa's supporters) who are writing and saying Joepa made an error in judgment or failed in his leadership by not calling the police or "following up" on what McQueary told him. He did not make an error or fail to follow up. He did what every other teacher and/or school employee does in Pennsylvania every day.

  • @enolapayback

Yeah your right. He should have wondered what was being done about that. I have no arguement their. Even Paterno says he wished he could have went back and done more. But it didn't mean Paterno enabled or condoned Sanduskys actions. But at the same time atleast he was the only one who said anything about the molested child. Everyone else kind of swept it under the rug. And if McQuery witnessed what happened than why didn't he grow a set of balls and say anything to an authority?

  • So McQuery told Paterno that he saw Sandusky sodomizing some kid in the showers and Paterno told his boss but Paterno didn't wonder why lets say a week latter the Police hadn't arrested Sandusky and contact the police himself ?

And the Paterno cult members are OK with this ? That's disgraceful.

  • OK, before everyone spouts their shit, I'm going to say what most college players, coaches, and PSU supporters have known for years. It's no secret that the Penn State Board of Trustees has been trying to get rid of Joe for the last 20 years. He hasn't won enough championships for them, enough bowls for them, and has made academics the center for the players instead of the mantra "screw books, more points!!"

I hope the BOT is happy now, they killed Joe, he lived for PSU.

  • @durandiana Yea Joe is dead and lets hope for his sake there is no Hell.

  • Sweat shop master

  • Thank you. You are correct the lights will be on the case because of how the media will choose to dictate the narrative. I urge you to read the article titled "On Joe Paterno's passing and news media remorse". You will have to google as Youtube does not allow me to post a link to it. It addresses what you believe to have quoted Paterno as saying. I ask you to read the entire article and allow it to digest and gather facts from all possible sources before forming your opinion. Thank you.

  • @scottyb825..your good..but the sad truth is even joe said he could have done more and that sticks with people..and now he's gone..get ready cuz people are gonna make thier mark on this case..the bright lights are now on

  • @scottyb825..I don't know what your profession is..but you will make one hell of a defense lawyer

  • @scottyb825..looks like your man joe pa came up a little short on that one (no pun intended)

  • @lahardcore13 If Joe made a mistake and deserved to be fired, then we should be firing hundreds of teachers every year. Joe did NOT make a mistake and those who say he did have no idea what they are talking about. I hope Freeh and his people look into child abuse reporting protocol in PA so Joepa's actions can be placed in the proper perspective. I'm sorry this is so long, but it needed to be made clear to those unfamiliar with these investigations, which I imagine is most people.

  • @scottyb825 What the he## are you talking about? Do you even know? Teachers are required by law to report child abuse . I have reported it 3 times and guess what ? I followed up on it. Guess what else ? I don't NEED a GD law to tell me what's right and wrong.

  • @lahardcore13Additionally,the police will not share details of the investigation with the teacher, outside of possibly interviewing him/her. Believe me, we (police) don't want people doing their own investigation or follow-up. How do I know this? I investigate and prosecute these crimes every day and have done so for 17 years. I'm tired of hearing that Joepa made a mistake by not contacting police. Not only did he follow the law in PA, he followed normal protocol which is in place for a reason.

  • @lahardcore13 When they learn of such an allegation (usually directly from a student victim), they report it to the guidance office and/or principle, who then reports it to Children & Youth Services, who then notifies police. This is without exception and is and has been accepted protocol in PA for years. It is not the responsibility of the teacher to follow up because he/she expects the administration officials to properly report it.

  • @lahardcore13 (I borrowed this put presents my point) I'd like to set something straight for those (even Joepa's supporters) who are writing and saying Joepa made an error in judgment or failed in his leadership by not calling the police or "following up" on what McQueary told him. He did not make an error or fail to follow up. He did what every other teacher and/or school employee does in Pennsylvania every day.

  • @scottyb825..leadership..websters. is a dynamic relationship based on mutual influence and common purpose between leaders and collaborators in which both are moved to higher levels of motivation and MORAL deployment as they affect REAL INTENDED CHANGE

  • @vivalawrench..man..I hope you don't have kids...no matter what you or I say sandusky and paterno will forever be linked to the worst scandal is sports history..his legacy will be tarnished forever!!!..as it should

  • @vivalarench....please enough with the lawyer talk...you people are unreal!..so all you support butt fucking little kids is amazing

  • @lahardcore13 I think the "unreal" thing here is relating our respect for Joe to supporting the "butt fucking" of little kids. This whole situation is not as black and white as you may want to make it. I respect Joe for the great years he had at Penn State. I seriously doubt that any normal person would do much more than what he did. He reported it to the head of campus police and to PSU administrators. If you are looking to have a witch hunt, look a little farther than Joe.

  • @vivalawrench Your point is valid unless Sandusky was on campus in any capacity after that with kids and Paterno saw him. At which point the moral, righteous thing to do is go to whom you reported it to and say "Hey wt# happened this guy is still around?

  • This was perfect and its amazing how he was able to keep his composure through the whole thing

  • @rachx8193..wow..like I said.. a cult atmosphere..amazing

  • Comment removed

  • @lahardcore13 school facility or agency or the designated agent of the person in charge when they have reasonable cause to suspect on the basis of their professional or other training or experience, that a child coming before them in their professional or official capacity is a victim of child abuse. Upon notification by the licensee, the person in charge or the designated agent shall assume the responsibility and have the legal obligation to report or cause a report to be made in accordance

  • @rachhx8193..joe pa did no wrong?..you mean when he found out as early as 1998 that sundusky was fucking little boys and later he was like "hey jerry how are ya?..all while holding little boys by the hand..ok..if you say so...stay off the kool aid

  • @lahardcore13 Joe found out in 2002 from Mike McQueary, and he reported that like he was supposed to. Nothing was reported to him before that. How 'bout you stop wasting your breath over a dead legend and focus your attention on Sandusky?

  • You all need to do your research. JoePa told the media what they wanted to hear, that he should have done more. But he did what he was supposed to do, end of story. The MEDIA put the blame on him because he was the one person most associated with Penn State. Tim Curley and Gary Schultz are the ones that FAILED to do the right thing. Not to mention Jerry Sandusky is the one being tried for SEXUALLY ABUSING 10 boys. NOT JOE PATERNO. Think before you speak! Joe Paterno never deserved this.

  • People..please google THE FRANKLIN COVERUP..that's what's happening at penn st...as far as the children

  • @enolapayback

Yes he did. And he didn't get paid as much as guys like Saban, Miles and Spurrier. Joe made a nice penny, I won't deny that. But what he made he gave back atleast 75% of it. What other coaches do that? Paterno ate, slept and breathed that University and if it weren't for him that college wouldn't have been as succesful as it was.

  • Wow!!!..just checked out the ray gricar story...people at penn st. Are some sick fucks!

  • You are a F---ing moron. I'm sure 12,000 people will show up at your funeral to memorialize your contributions. I guess all of the 500,000 plus alumni of Penn State are reresentative of a cult. It's my guess that Joe Paterno accomplished more after age 80 than you'll ever accomplish in your little life.

  • I find it fascinating the cult like atmosphere at penn st..hello?..this is 2012 not 1978..people want to worship a "man" joe pa when he was done years ago like 2002..guess what happend that year?...I think not having a university that is "urban" and not out in the woods explains the kool aid mentality..I have to remember this is the state that sent rick santourm to congress..enough said

  • I think it's funny that all of you want to bash Joe. You probably don't realize what he has done for the university or for the football team. He did more than the president, he more than the AD, and he did more than the head of police. You're forgetting the main point, he reported it to his higher ups, that's when everything went down hill. So you want to bash Joe Paterno? Get your facts right then have a narrow-minded dumb comment. Remember one thing Joe pa wasn't the one touching kids. WE ARE!

  • An investigation should be done into the conduct of the administration after JP told them about the problem. They did nothing when it is their job to do the investigation.

  • @cnrubin..uhhh you mean like the catholic church?..I think that one is pretty much coverd

  • @ljchunkylover joe pa had NO superiors at penn st. He was more powerful than any administrator and even pry the governor. Even joe pa admitted he should have done more..uhhh? Ya think?...joe pa's legacy is tarnished forever

  • @lahardcore13 in some ways it seems like joepa was the most superior. but technically he was low on the administrative chain as the football coach. multiple people working in the legal field have said he did all he could. he reported to his superiors, who FAILED. jerry sandusky did the crime, he FAILED. JOEPA DID NO WRONG.

  • @lahardcore13 If he had no superiors how did he get fired?

  • Comment removed

  • What have you done for a Third world country lately. In fact, what have you done, other than show people what not to be like. By your comments, you don't paint a pretty picture for America either.

  • What does outsourcing to Third World countires have to do with the memorial? Gosh, grow up and if you have a problem with the way things are done, establish something that can make it better for them. People have so much to say, and not enough "do".

  • @lahardcore13

If that's the case, why should Paterno have gone to the police? He didn't witness anything, McQuery did. McQuery should have been a man and went straight to the police. Instead he tells Joe what he saw and Joe told the superiors what McQuery claims he saw. Paterno was nothing more than the middle man in all this.

  • Has anyone wondered why the cameras have only directed their lenses to one incident- PSU? What about the other locations and people where abuse happened?

  • Hatred is equal or worse than the crimes you judge others.Judgment off bits n pieces of info? Ignorance and insensitivity-pitiful.Where is the mirror you hateful people should be looking in. See yourself and ask God to help you. Don't have to know Joe or attend PSU to see that your evil is equal to Mr. Sandusky's.

  • Great speach! What an amazing person Joe Paterno must have been to have influenced so many!

  • What does santa claus and jerry sandusky have in common?..they both leave little boys rooms with empty sacks.."we are ped state"

  • The only reason the superiors didn't get rid of Paterno is not because he was superior to everyone else. Paterno had superiors. They didn't get rid of him because he put alot of money into the university. He built a huge library, donated millions to the school and academic programs, etc. And coaching the football team for 40+ years he kind of had the right to tell them when he was done.

  • @Jgchunkylover

"He built a huge library, donated millions to the school and academic programs, etc"

On the salary of a college football coach ?

  • @enolapayback yes

  • Ha Ha obviously "Happy Valley" is some little kids butthole in suburban all American Pennsylvania .

  • Your a bitch, tough tony online come to pa and you'll get ur head tore off punk.

  • Who gives a fuck ? Pennsylvania is a right wing shit hole full of religious hunter jocks outside the major cities .

  • @enolapayback It's been 25 years since the PA vote has gone Republican. Try again.

  • @jknaus23 Yea exactly which is why you have reich wing religious jocks raping little kids.

  • @jknaus23 Who rapes little kids in America ? Priests and coaches that's who, not exactly "hotbeds" of liberal ideology ya know.

  • @enolapayback Big man behind mommy's ISP connection. Lets see if you can be a little coward bitch in person

  • @sethcorn HaHahaHa internet tough guy who's too stupid to realize they're hiding behind a isp also. Dumb jock.

  • The Paternoists are just as sick and in denial as the Paultards, People like this are an embarrassment to the USA.

  • @a12fIesh i guess the guy that founded nike is an embarrassment to america too..

  • @guy5779 Yeah the founder of Nike, the guy who has outsourced hundreds of thousands of jobs to third world countries where the workers are treated like chattel is an embarrassment to the country.

  • Obviously the problem here is the same problem bedeviling a lot of America, which is we have a segment of the population who still believe fanatically in God, Country, Sports and other right wing nonsense.

"Happy Valley" fascism needs to be destroyed.

  • Phil Knight carries his balls in a wheelbarrow. Thanks, Phil, for speaking up on the behalf of our proud university and seeing through the media fog for what really is the truth in this topic.

  • All I can say is THANK YOU PHIL KNIGHT for saying what you did at this memorial.

  • ahh yes..I see the trolls are out in full force tonight.

  • PSU administrators tried moving out Paterno years ago and he said he wasn't leaving. So who are his "superiors"?

PSU-Sick ass people. Really troubled place.

  • @echoplex89 Exactly, Paterno had a couple of totally miserable seasons and his bosses told him to retire and he said NO. How did he getaway with that ?

Maybe because he had info about shit that would destroy PSU ?

  • @dumpster3211 please enough with the lawyer talk..if john wooden would have found out one of his asst were molesting little boys in the shower he would have went straight to the police and demanded something be done..bottom line EVERYONE coverd something up no matter how minuscule it might be

  • @lahardcore13 That's another problem with the media: their story is incmplete. The police were notified, and ther WAS an investigation. Problem is, we don't know the whole story. Hell, Sandusky hasn't even been proven guilty in court yet.

  • @lahardcore13 Bullcrap. John Wooden was in the same era as Joe Paterno, and if one of his well-known assistants had the misfortune of doing the monstorous deeds Sandusky did, he would have done the same thing Joe did. You would have too - well actually, considering you're probably an average person, when McQueary did not mention rape in his account to you the concience inside of yourself may have even brushed it off. And BTW, Joe had NO AUTHORITY to keep that monster off campus. Spanier did.

  • What a beautiful Memorial tribute service for Joseph Vincent Paterno! So happy I became a Penn State fan years ago! Joe Pa was one of my heroes and I will always look up to him as a great football coach and even better man. You will always be forever in our hearts! (and in my front window!) I love you Joe Pa!

BTW... I have always worn NIKE products and I will continue to do so!!

Joe Paterno is a legen and he will always be one of my heroes!!

NIKE! I need a JOB! I am a Navy Veteran. Thanks!

  • Simply beautiful, truthful and inspirational. Thank you.

  • @gemini850..why did sandusky "retire" when penn st. Was having major success with no ncaa violations?..since 2002 joe pa knew his most trusted coach was a serial child molester and chose to cover it up...just like the catholic church..why get mad at the pope?..he didn't commit a crime?..but he KNEW

  • "Its the medias fault"..that's what I keep hearing from the joe pa backers..sounds like the republican debates

  • @lahardcore13 Actually I never liked Penn State but the media did seem to have a witch hunt for him. He didn't even do the crime, Sandusky did.

  • @lahardcore13 In many ways, it is the media's fault. They reported the full story before the full story even developed. Similar to the Casey Anthony trials, people were prosecuted by the media before being legally prosecuted. As a result, the board fired him in a completely vain attempt to save the university's reputation. What the board of trustees didn't realize was that the university's reputation was already so tainted that Paterno was the last thing holding it together. They did him wrong.
