I never considered this female Cenobite the same one seen in Part 1. The Part 1 version was much more eviler and stronger. Remember, when Tammy was turned into a Cenobite in Part 3, she looked identical to the previous ones. The female Cenobite from Part 1 would not be killed so quickly without a fight. This Female doesn't have the strands of hair that the Female in Part1 did, either.

It's more about the quality (or lack of) of the sequels. From no.3 onwards the acting is shocking, the effects are ropey, and the direction is woeful. If only the production values matched the quality of the source material!

Channard should of had one of those big worms up his ass to support the weight of his body. That way his head wouldn't of popped off, at the ending. Maybe that will be in the next straight to DVD sequel.

I never considered this female Cenobite the same one seen in Part 1. The Part 1 version was much more eviler and stronger. Remember, when Tammy was turned into a Cenobite in Part 3, she looked identical to the previous ones. The female Cenobite from Part 1 would not be killed so quickly without a fight. This Female doesn't have the strands of hair that the Female in Part1 did, either.

Michael030979. I see where you're coming from in regards to the origins of the box etc. True the 4th film DOES flesh out some of the backstory/mythology. My criticism isn't about sequels per se. It's more about the quality (or lack of) of the sequels. From no.3 onwards the acting is shocking, the effects are ropey, and the direction is woeful. If only the production values matched the quality of the source material!

I really liked this scene because it made the cenobites sympathetic. I really felt sad for them when they died. Especially seeing that the chatterer was a child. I just thought it was different and gave the characters a new dimension just when you thought you had them figured out.
