@peterscoop Sword of the Samurai(or Kengo 2 overseas), did get sequels....., "Kengo 3" for the PS2, & "Kengo, Legend of the 9", for XBOX 360. The former, I never played, and the latter kinda sucks in my opinion.....

this is one of the best fighting games i´ve ever played on ps2. in a one on one fight it normally takes you just one hit to beat the enemy. fuckin awesome!!!

you have to fight against the masters (kengo) you meet and when you beat them ones, the second time, they will ask you if you want to fight with wooden or iron sword. you have to choose the iron sword and kill them all! after that you have to win the Domyo Tournament, and then you will meet Musashi. beat him and then kill him too (the second time). Now you can use all the characters of the game! (you have to beat also the Masters of all school but without killing them!)

if you want to improve your skills, just fight some guys in the outdoor tournament and go out before you lose, then insist asking the masters to fight against you...insist and insist, it's just a matter of time and patience..more patience! It's a long way to the top if you wanna kill them all! :-) but then you will be able to use Musashi with oar or two swords!

rudeEMOboi, When you have killed all the others Kengo, you have to win the Shogun's Tournament, the games ends, and Musashi appears at the beach!

niten84, I'm so sorry,I FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: the Masters (Kengos) Will ask you to fight with real sword, only after you learned all theire Forms and tecnique (you can check that, going to "Kengo Info" and chosing one of the Masters, to see how many forms you've already learned! For anyone wondering, he cuts his hat in half because his opponent already ruined it by cutting a deep gash in the front. So I guess he figures its useless now anyway, and cutting it allows for him to celebrate his little scuffle with near deaht, and look super badass.xP

Great game to bad ubisoft killed it with bad marketing. it was released in 2002 and was in the bargin bin for $11 by 2003, too bad its one of the most realistic swordplay games you will find, hell its got kata ive learnt allready and i use it as a reference for good stance and technique, ive even taken other techniques and checked them out against thier modern iaido counterparts. How such a well researched game like this did so bad i will never know.

I know the samurai are based on historical people, but i didn´t know they used authentical moves. Badass!

He is meant to be a legendary samurai whose skil is unsurpased, The is a trilogy called Samurai I,II,III which tells the story of his life. I beleive he lived in 17th century japan.

The Trilogy is meant to be a great Homage to this exceptional samurai...

Its easy when u win the first tournament, then u have a nice sword and start fightin good samurais.

When u go to Edo its the ebst part in the whole game, u feel so good jajaja
