for any1 who's asking, an endwar 2 is coming out in november (i think) and its gonna include countries like china and north or south korea. i think the info is on the tom clancy website. all of this is just something i heard from a friend though.

The best console RTS this generation, the only bad thing about it is the campaign, otherwise it is perfect.

I didn't like using infantry because their reaction rate was too slow and their firepower wasing strong enough to be effectively used in urbun areas.

also keep in mind that tanks and other armore vehicles can turn infantry into burger meat when run over

infantry can also turn into BBQ if hit by chemical shells from artillery

as conclusion....infantry = uplink grabber and nothing else

Riflemen can kill Transports,Force reacon 1 riflemen, and gunships and pretty good at holding uplinks.

Engineers are technally supposed to be use in a match like Assault. Engineers can pretty much take down any thing in the game but weak to riflemen.

Engineers and riflemen serve different purposes. It is stupid to even have a debate. If you think engineers are over all better than riflemen then I welcome you to attack a squad of riflemen with nothing but engineers. Also riflemen can deepstrike, Ive won battles while only deploying riflemen that way. Every unit in this game has a severe weakness so there is no greatest unit. You just have to use them smart.

exactly just dont have your engineers on uplinks posing as rifleman or you will def lose the battle i call out 1 engineer unit to upgrade the first and closes uplink

@dangerousmilk Don't forget that rifleman capture uplinks faster than engineers. Anyway I overall prefer engineers as they are handy for taking out vehicles but I won't deny using rifleman especially when I need to deepstrike to a farawar location.

@warman096 Actualy if u watched all the tutorial vids closely u would have seen that engineers capture uplinks faster then riflemen and anyways you can get transports for engineers to make them more mobile. But i must say i prefer to have riflemen and engineers combined along with transports so i have mobility, anti-infantry, and anti-air/anti-tank.

@dangerousmilk Agreed, whenever I have riflemen, I have a squad of engineers nearby. I group them up, and I've won plenty of missions with using just deepstrike.

I've played this game for 2 years now , and still play a bit now but I've never figured out how to do it. Mine is a PC version and I dont have a mic.

My Riflemen are the highest rank units i have but my engineers are the ones with the most upgraded abilities. The engineers in the end are better than the Riflemen, they have more upgrades and are better for defending just about anything, while riflemen can only defend themselves and secure uplinks faster than engineers but they suck when it comes to upgrading uplinks

the riflemen beat the engineers, and the riflemen are good against any unit when in cover (except tanks) and they run faster for long distance uplinks, they also can take more punishment... your argument is debatable.

you are right it is debatable...but the engineers can take out armor way faster than the riflemen, so they dont really need as much armor as the riflemen. They (riflemen) are faster at securing uplinks, but it comes to securing uplinks i'd rather have a squad of riflemen runing around securing uplinks and engineers in transports upgrading. I agree though that this is a great game.

i had a 3 star rifle man go uup against a 4 stripe tank my rifleman won it they had red health but i took his tanks and the rifleman unit he tride to take the uplink from me

I played this at my friends house and its awesome!!Infantry ae the most imported because when they are together(includeing the enigners)they are unstopable!!!
