I need to get "back" myself. I grew up heavy, lost 75 lbs (34 kilos/5.35 Stone) in college and then gained it all back. One thing I definetely noticed when I was thin was how much better I slept. I went to sleep sooner, didn't wake up in the middle of the night, no insomnia (which is a real problem for me now) and woke up easier and felt really well rested. Also my average mood was better. I NEED to get back to that.
@hop208 Thanks for sharing that with us. Getting fit is all positive and my aim is to help people all over the world. Educating people on the correct way to lose fat and live healthily is what I'm all about. Never give up!
Drink nothing but water, eat less food, take a multivitamin, do 30 minutes of cardio 2-3 times a week, do some bodyweight exercises at home. Maybe not intense enough for some people but I lost 95lbs over 2 years just doing the water/food thing (I still eat the same stuff I used to also, not fast food but cheap grocery store junk), only just recently started adding exercise and now I'm seeing some definition to my body for the first time in my life (was always chunky growing up).
It's been great listening to you and your journey. I have struggled with weight most of my life. I have been really working hard this year to lose, because I'm determined that I will be healthy. Once you get to a certain weight gain it is just difficult to go in the other direction - especially when you do not have much support. Thanks again and I'll be keeping up with your videos to see your progress. Also, when is your book coming out and what will be the title? Take care & God Bless!!!
@billy144000 Thanks for the comment and support. The book will be out early 2012. I'll keep everyone updated. Keep going with your own fitness...never give up!
Dude i think what ur doing is pretty awesome...when I exercise with my friends they don't understand how easily one can get tired or start hurting and i think this will help others see that even a personal trainer has difficulties loosing this type of weight.
@makaveliak47 I'm hoping to release it all around the world as it will be very useful for all to see. I'll keep everyone posted on here and Twitter @pj_james
Just a question, have you heard of the book Good Calories, Bad Calories? I think in the UK it's called The Diet Delusion or something like that. I have found it an interesting find! Wanna see if you have any comments about it~
@Andrew1993able The movie is complete and we are currently pitching it in Australia and The US. I will keep everyone updated. Thanks for following the story :)
Hey can u tell us about carb cycling, im doing everything u say but cant budge past 15% bf, drivin me nuts arrrggg. CAnt wait for your doco to come out btw
@58jtaylor Alternate meals, one with carbs, one without (apart from vegies). Just leave out the sweet potato in every 2nd meal for example. Keep the protein and vegetables in every meal though, apart from the sweet potato. If you aren't losing, remove carbs from all your meals for 1 day, apart from the oats in the morning and see how you go. Only do this one day per week to see the difference. Carbs are still important most of the time.
