Did you ever stop to think the fence might not completely enclose the yard, or that maybe there's something behind the camera they don't want the puppy going into? cute dog and very intelligent as well, could you kindly tell me how to get the dog to release ? I dont have the dog now because i was only puppy-sitting for a friend of mine, i started training her ( siberian husky & very little part wolf ) she was extremely hyper ,i got her to obey sit, lie down, in a week while i had her,but any time i walked her she would grab onto my boots or pant legs and wouldnt let go, its been bugging me why i couldnt get her to learn or even -do- to let go
@NATAhomez there are 2 key points to train a puppy first you gotta be sure he/she is hungry so best time to train is 1-2 hours before the feeding time , this way you ll have full attention cuz you have the food
second you gotta make him/her tired so she ll not be jumping biting stuff as much as she does normally best way to do this to bring her to a long walk

Why did you reward her when she was starting to break the "stay" an instant before you said "OK"? My guess from watching, hearing the release, then seeing your position is that she's reacting to you bending down to release her instead of the actual command. when i took my dog ty out for a walk today there was man walking with a newspaper and ty tried to attack him and i think it was because ty maybe used to get hit with a newspaper by his prrevious owner i feel sorry for my dogg love him loads and fuck the previous owner

Positive reinforcement training works best, as this young man is doing. The dog will do all for him out of great love which he is learning while being trained.
If you were really a professional trainer you would not be calling people idiots for training with treats. Giving the young man some pointers, would be better, sense you know so much.

this is not a way to train your dog. NEVER repeat the command. if the dog doesnt do as commanded give a quick tug to the leash while attached to the choker, then give a treat.

I can't believe some of the idiots posting on here. Without hitting the dog or shouting, you can train the dog to be perfectly obedient. Try watching Cesar Milan (The Dog Whisperer), who takes "red-zone" cases and rehabilitates them to a calm, submissive state in a very short amount of time. You simply do not understand your dog and what it needs. If you think you need to hit your dog, you shouldn't have one.
When people say they "hit" their dog during training they probably mean just flicking him on the nose... that's what I do. Actually hitting him and possibly injuring him is animal cruelty.

@gordo33 lol my german shepperd puppy is 8 weeks with one flappy ear and one normal ear.. if they dont go up with in 4 months of age they prolly wont.. and i hear that also runs common with deaf dogs.
Try massaging your dogs ears upwards, thats what I did with my GSD and hers were up by the time she was 2 1/2 months. I knew someone who did that with their GSD who was having that problem so I just started from the begining in hopes of not running into that problem and I had no issues with ears not standing up.
I think a squirt bottle is good in reprimanding a shepherd. I used it on my pup once, now all I have to lift the bottle and she stops whatever she was doing
If you are worried about being too hard on your dog, then you probably aren't. It is better to have a highly obedient dog, who you bring up with as much love as you do discipline, than one that is going to grow up to be a danger to yourself and others.
I love my dog SO much, but I do not let her get away with anything. I acknowledge that she is basically a wild animal and capable of great harm.
That capability must be respected and channelled correctly with the appropriate upbringing.
To be fair to you RakaNmUsIc, I think its more of a language barrier thing that is making you look bad and causing people to misunderstand. If you are taking about punishing a GSD for very bad behaviour, we have to be realistic, sometimes you may have to hit your dog. My GSD, Summer, used to get very vicious towards my brother when he came on a walk with us and would literally attack him. I had to show her this would not be tolerated and I smacked her butt very hard! She did not do it again.

The point was that someone was hurting their dog and she was replying to them saying how wrong they are to put an animal in that position.

Yo I just want to hav a good life on my own. U kno with a nice house,money to take care and stuf. Cuz my parents r kinda strict and dey scream so loud and hit my nephew and my nephews mom (My sister) hits him too. Like hitting and abuse r 2 different things. OK u may get pissed but that doesnt mean u bop ur dogs or childs head. Jus a simple no and little smak that they wont even feel is good. Yes they need to learn but I gues im jus nice and I want a dog!

this is not a way to train your dog. NEVER repeat the command. if the dog doesnt do as commanded give a quick tug to the leash while attached to the choker, then give a treat.

I can't believe some of the idiots posting on here. Without hitting the dog or shouting, you can train the dog to be perfectly obedient. Try watching Cesar Milan (The Dog Whisperer), who takes "red-zone" cases and rehabilitates them to a calm, submissive state in a very short amount of time. You simply do not understand your dog and what it needs. If you think you need to hit your dog, you shouldn't have one.

When people say they "hit" their dog during training they probably mean just flicking him on the nose... that's what I do. Actually hitting him and possibly injuring him is animal cruelty.

@gordo33 lol my german shepperd puppy is 8 weeks with one flappy ear and one normal ear.. if they dont go up with in 4 months of age they prolly wont.. and i hear that also runs common with deaf dogs.

good news is sometimes his floopy ear stands up for a little bit then it goes back down.
now i just gotta work on his biting issues. All he wants to do is eat, and play (bite me to death)

Try massaging your dogs ears upwards, thats what I did with my GSD and hers were up by the time she was 2 1/2 months. I knew someone who did that with their GSD who was having that problem so I just started from the begining in hopes of not running into that problem and I had no issues with ears not standing up.

If you are worried about being too hard on your dog, then you probably aren't. It is better to have a highly obedient dog, who you bring up with as much love as you do discipline, than one that is going to grow up to be a danger to yourself and others.
I love my dog SO much, but I do not let her get away with anything. I acknowledge that she is basically a wild animal and capable of great harm.
That capability must be respected and channelled correctly with the appropriate upbringing.

To be fair to you RakaNmUsIc, I think its more of a language barrier thing that is making you look bad and causing people to misunderstand. If you are taking about punishing a GSD for very bad behaviour, we have to be realistic, sometimes you may have to hit your dog. My GSD, Summer, used to get very vicious towards my brother when he came on a walk with us and would literally attack him. I had to show her this would not be tolerated and I smacked her butt very hard! She did not do it again.
