Hi DC - I had a professional do it. The glass is a special UV glass so it doesn't get hurt by the light. I think it cost me about $125 to frame it -- with a good chunk of that cost being the glass, but it looks incredible -- AND I can still take out the magazine if I really want to. Make sure you tell the framer NOT to rip off the cover - that you want to preserve the entire magazine!

If, and I do mean IF, NEXT was never bought by Apple, Microsoft was the only other company left, Apple died, and, most importantly, Steve Jobs was the CEO of Next then Steve Jobs would probably be richer than Bill Gates! That however is just an educated guess based upon the success of every feature in this OS currently in Mac OS 10.

Hi Josh - I would say 'No' -- NeXT was dying. The workstation failed in the Educational market -- they rewrote the software to work on the PC platform, but it just wasn't clicking -- NeXT needed the Apple name and the Mac fans, and Apple needed a new OS. They needed each other, without doubt. But, overall, good stuff - and good to have Microsoft around too (I enjoy their server products, SQL, Exchange Server, and Xbox 360!) Hi D - it was a custom frame job. Cost at Jerry's Artarama was $150 plus tax. Not cheap -- I had it framed with UV glass, which wacked up the cost, but I didn't want it to fade with the sun -- so at least you have something for comparison! - Alfred

NeXT came after the Macintosh. Steve had left Apple Computer due to a power struggle with John Sculley. He fomed NeXT to sell high end workstations to the educational market. It failed. He then wrote his innovative software for the generic PC platform. It was not doing so well. Apple was also struggling and decided to buy NeXT for their innovative software, which we now know as OSX!
