  • As always,it seems he's alergic to the the most elementary reasoning about the meaning.....always and only the how, never a reasoning about the sense..if there is a sense..anyway it can be not only a waste of time.

  • Why is Hawking repeating that Creation Myth when he doe not believe it. He is only making fun and sport of other people. He should be ashamed. He should ask people who really do believe in the Creation to explain it, and not to use it for comedy. He should tell us what he really believes accounts for the world ,so we can laugh at him. Because no one really knows what accounts for the world, but we all have Intelligent Mind capable of creating worlds in ourselves and that is where to start.

  • @CarmineFragione So if you repeating about something, you have to believe it?

  • @mrtadreamer Its not hard to understand the big bang... and justifying your view by saying others don't understand it is quite pathetic. Ill tell you again, you do not understand the Big Bang if that is what you think it is. And your main point is how i carelessly used "retard" ehhh lol.

  • @mrtadreamer you aren't here for discussion, you are here to troll

You left the same cut and paste comment on other YouTube videos.

    example: all_comments?v=wEANo-opxwc

You are blocked go troll somewhere else.

  • Ok so i know this is a horrible comment but i just realized anyone could take a video of Stephan Hawking giving a lecture and just dub over it with microsoft sam and no one would know the difference.

  • @ohyahim No they couldn't. No one else is as intelligent as he is. They would immediately be busted by their own ignorance.

  • this lecture vid said nothing zero nadda

  • His argument is actually ironic. See he argues that phi (the wave-function of the universe) can explain everything and so we don't need a God to do so. However he forgets that the wave-function of the universe is a Mind.

    Don't believe me?

1.) The wave-function of the universe is self-collapsing (true by definition)

    2.) Self-collapsing wave-functions are minds. (Roger Penrose's Orch-OR model)

Therefore, Stephen Hawking's phi is a mind: watch?v=Kj8UdHuP5l8

Well what do you know about that?! ;)

  • @JohananRaatz Well what do you know about that?! ;)

I know its really fucked up!

  • @EGMAG Oh come on. At least you have to admit that it's a cool argument.

  • @JohananRaatz

Yes it is a cool arguement. I think JC made a much more coherent and logical one.

  • @EGMAG JC? What's incoherent or illogical about it? It's a simple hypothetical syllogism: The wave-function of the universe is self-collapsing (A>B) Self-collapsing wave-functions are minds (B>C) Therefore A>C (the wave-function of the universe is a mind. See spot run.

  • @JohananRaatz What's incoherent simple hypothetical syllogism: <<

You just said it. HYPOTHETICAL and I agree. Hypothesis are beliefs and not yet facts.

  • @EGMAG No not "hypothetical" smartass. "Hypothetical syllogism" it's a term used in propositional logic to describe a valid method for argumentation. And the two premises involved have very strong justification. The first follows directly from quantum mechanics, the second has very strong evidence behind it and is proposed by none other than Roger Penrose, one of Stephen Hawking's close colleagues.

  • @JohananRaatz

Yes I most certainly am a smartass and so is the rest of my body . You Ratshit

  • @JohananRaatz

no matter how you excuse it....it is still "HYPOTHETICAL" DUMASS.

  • @EGMAG No it's not a "hypothetical" it's based on real science, -pure quantum mechanics and Penroses model of the mind. The term "hypothetical syllogism" does not entail it is "hypothetical."

    DUMASS.(sic)

FYI I'm a physics major with an IQ of 155 -you dumbass.

  • @JohananRaatz Physics major AND an IQ of 155! i think someone is compensating for something(i.e penis if a man or being a woman if you're a woman)

  • @ohyahim And your point?

  • You are physics major? what part of physics are you studying? quantum physics? Plasma (physics), Classic physics, modern physics? which is it?

  • @scienceatheism Well I'm just taking a general physics major at the moment. But my primary interest is quantum gravity.

  • Are you going to go into experimental physics or theoretical physics?

  • @scienceatheism Theoretical. Honestly I may jump fields though and go into something completely different. I can understand the physics and the math but I can't do the math at the speed I need to keep up in grad school. LOL Being where I'm at it's like climbing Mount Rainier, but I need to climb Mount Everest with the math.

That said I still intend to stay with physics in some way or another. Actually I have a QG model I'm working on which I want to publish soon.

  • Yeah most great physicists are theoretical physicist because you have more room to play, its basically having just a great imagination and proving a theory that you have with math. stop talking about climbing a mountain because then i get a picture of Josh Groban singing you raise me up and no one likes josh groban not even josh groban.

  • @scienceatheism Hahaha! Yup! Sorry about that. lol Speaking of imagination watch this and tell me what you think: watch?v=ELxupWHZnOE

It's slow at first but it get's really cool at the end.

  • "Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people."

    Karl Marx

  • @stratman06 Marx was a NWO elitist you idiot.

  • Kaspar, the humanists may not have 'banned books' as you put it, but its all over youtube and in real life where they just love to make fun of those who might not have the actual capacity of this man or others to understand science and its own language, but instead of thinking just how much in that sense people differ, in that field alone, atheists and humanists laugh so hard at people like us, point and wish us emotional harm, thinking we can actually live up to their intellectual standards.

  • That is irrelevant. Anyone with a properly developped brain and the will the understand how things work can in fact understand them. You can't understand science because science is understanding. How do you understand understanding? That is a silly question, just as the one "Why are we here?", which in fact is not the question "How did we come to exist?", but rather "What is our purpose?". That is a silly question, because there is no true purpose to life; We just happen to exist by chance.

  • QFT

  • we can reproduce and build for a reason, we have the ability to create from our thoughs, matter from basically nothing. we are here to do our part just as the suns, solar systems, black holes do theirs. we represent the star which creates a family like the solar system for every body to do their part and the black hole represents death... it is a cycle like fruit falling from a tree and sprouting new seeds to flourish the land. but one difference is we have the power to manipulate..

  • The catholic church IS kinder and gentler today than they have been in the past. However they still want to censor things and to stop people from learning certain things. Contrast that with the humanist movement that is non-theistic and they encourage everybody to read and learn everything. They have no banned books list unlike the Catholics.

  • KasparHauser4, your statement on the Catholic Church censoring things is absolute rubbish. It encourages its members to study but to be cautious of anything that may lead to sin. It looks out for the well-being of its members. A good quote is that there is not one person in the world that hates what the Catholic church teaches but there are many that hate what they THINK it teaches. You should study up on what it actually teaches, you will be surprised.

  • member250108

I assume you have enough computer skills to do a google search using the phrase: catholic banned book list.

I did and up it popped. if for some reason you don't believe what is on the internet ask any knowledgeable public Librarian.

  • @KasparHauser4 You two are so dumb. The Church banned books from the time of the reformation to the mid 20th century as a pastoral and protective measure for the good of its flock, as member250108 said. The Catholic Church now places no censor on any literature at the universal level and encourages the faithful to study any art or science to its fullest, so long as its end is good. Any and all pastoral censorship and/or cautioning/guidance is left to local bishops and parish priests.

  • member250108 " KasparHauser4, your statement on the Catholic Church censoring things is absolute rubbish."

The American Library Association -> Banned & challenged books

A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials, based upon the objections of a person or group. A banning is the removal of those materials. -> Bill Donohue and the Catholic League

    Please connect the dots.

  • @justintempler Okay, but you are talking about the Catholic League. They are not owned by the Vatican and act independently even though they use their name. I would almost go as far to say most 'Christian' societies in the US are white-collar criminal organisations that drain money out of the community and actively try to keep them stupid enough to keep doing it.

Check this out if you want to know the official pov from the Vatican: "/watch?v=aYOR0dPZc3I" (it's 90minutes long, but worth it)

  • @Azariah197 " for the good of its flock,... Any and all pastoral censorship and/or cautioning/guidance is left to local bishops and parish priests."

How that's working out for you? That same local guidance that led up to the coverup of sex abuse by local priests, let's just pay people off and shuffle the priests from parish to parish. That same local guidance led to the pedophilic sex-ed book approved for Belgium's Catholic schools.

But it's all for the good of the flock? Talk about dumb.

  • @justintempler

Think it is pedophiles who become priests and not priests who become pedophiles.

  • @EGMAG I never said otherwise. The problem is the church covering up the crimes of the pedophiles who are priests. When you find out one of your priests is accused of being a pedophile, you do not shuffle him off to another parish and pay hush money to the victims.

  • @justintempler covering up <<

Although covering up is not always the case. The church faces many dilemmas in all areas of faith. we all are aware that good and evil choices exist. In the area of repentance and forgiveness with punishment from God, probable reasoning for cover-ups are the same reasoning as early "shuffling" paroles for murders and rapists in the justice system. A chance for rehabilitation which is a 50-50 proposition.

  • @EGMAG The rewards and punishments that may or may not come after death have nothing to do with being held accountable for your actions while you are on this earth. You have absolutely zero proof that this god exists and that there will be any justice after the grave. All you have is your faith.

To think that being religious gives you some kind of get out of jail free card is morally reprehensible. If that's the kind of god you worship you deserve to burn in hell.

  • @justintempler

I don't believe in faith. I know only from sober clear minded experience.

  • @Azariah197 "The Catholic Church now places no censor on any literature at the universal level"

Isn't that nice of them? Once upon a time you would be labeled a heretic is you merely possessed an English translation of the bible. God was so unknowable that you had be schooled and trained to undertsand the bible correctly.

It's not that the Church doesn't WANT to censor books, they realized they no longer have the POWER to do so. Gone are the days when they could lock you away in prison.

  • @member250108 Yeah, the Catholic church has become more progressive from how it used to be. Probably to let the clergy make life more interesting, they study all kinds of spirituality and science. Now its like the only main things that are heretical are violations of their sexual laws.

  • Lmfao that cracker is fucking retarded haha!

  • I love this video

  • Lol at the end
