@mish3lovic Facetime was built for Apple's mobile devices but it is available for Macs. iChat is a service that is not available for iOS devices. iChat allows you to use AIM. Facebook Messenger & other chat services right from your Mac. Also Facetime is only video calling. iChat is that and much more as you can see in the video above. And Facetime was available with the release of iOS 4 and the iPhone 4. iChat was accessible before then.

iChat is better, but it doesn't exist for Windows, so you cannot use it to communicate with Windows user. Skype exists for Windows and for Mac
