@bshthrasher I thought about it, as well as keypresses, but it seemed straightforward enough for people to pick up on. I think the most important part is for people to try and mimic quality circle jumps instead of those from some of the more viewed tutorials out there.
I don't think I've ever gone into the 500u range on my initial jump. I can pick up a little speed here and there after the first jump with just standard strafe jumps, but it gets a little frustrating after spending probably hours trying to get it right and failing. Especially since so many others seem to pick it up fairly easily.
@godsmackhudejo For humans, aligned with the world axis, and with a ledge step up, it's somewhere around 405 u. As for max theoretical (bot/script) given those same restrictions, I believe it's about 424 u. Looking back at the distances shown in this video, they aren't accounting for "hanging your toes off" a ledge before jumping, so they are shorter than the actual gap distances. The circle jumps in this video are on average good for about 402 u gaps or so.
shoulda enable cgaz hud for the noobs to follow jump trajectory..)

@KittenIgnition The first one was DFWC04-1, (Defrag World Cup 04, Round 1) by Ganja. Was it used somewhere else too?

@ElementOfC oh... well it looks a hell of a lot like an invasion map.

@KittenIgnition It's probably the best-looking map I've ever seen for Quake 3, for whatever that's worth

@zarzobb Care to tell the tale of when you CJ'd from Laurasia to Gondwana with extra 16u claw stepup?

@ElementOfC You can see it for yourself at your local theme park, on the Jurassic 3D motion master.
