  • @champagnesupernova the highlight of your visit to dublin is going to a gay bar?sad

  • @Happyhibee1979 .. It wasn't a gay bar when Bono had it and i was humping a wee blonde from Limerick bent over the railings at the side of the River Liffey, barry wee hump tae if you re read the post that was the highlight of the visit and drinking oiver priced shit Guiness that tastes better in Scotland.. disappointing coming from a fellow Hibby (shit result the day) @Ranticemusic, enlighten me. When did i slag of the Scots, Edinburgh born and Scottish to the core, ya mad mick

  • saw them twice, once when bruce foxton was with them in the 80's, one of the great punk bands.

  • Is it just me or is 40champagnesupernova just making herself look like an uneducated culture less tramp with every comment lol

  • @RomanticideMusic . Just said i hated Ireland and Northern Ireland. free speach and most civilized people agree, you just thumb down the truth. lol

  • @40ChampagneSupernova Thumb down the truth? Love I think you need to widen your fucking eyes. Travel anywhere and you will find most people love the Irish an hate the english. Go google 'define an english person' ;)

  • @RomanticideMusic. I've been to Dublin-BORING. (Templebar mid 90s) and it was filthy and Irish people are deluded enough to think that they're party animals, Truth is that they are way too loud and the accent is annnoying.Ireland adds nothing to the world imho. The highlight of my trip was a visit to the Kitchen nightclub (owned by Bono at the time?), fucking a damn ugly hooker and throwing a kebab into the River Liffey. As a Scot you dont have to mention the England thing.

  • @40ChampagneSupernova Well there you go, mid 90's. Of course it was a dull place you idiot, years of the troubles, i don't think the island had lets make this an epic place for tourists as its priority you silly ignorant twit. You're a scot yet you're sitting there slagging other scots? Hmmm makes plenty of sense. Face it, Ireland is universally loved. The talent the history and the culture just sucks people in If you don't like it..then go fuck off :P

  • @RomanticideMusic .. I was there in 1996, Same day England played Scotland in Euro 96 and there was a ceasefire then. Do your history son, afterall you live there !

  • @40ChampagneSupernova Also why say the Republic of Ireland does nothing for the UK...why would it? Its an independent country outside the union you fucking idiot. Only 6 counties (Northern Ireland) are part of the UK. Go back to sniffing glue or whatever has causes your incredible ignorance and stupidity

  • @RomanticideMusic. know the republic isn't part of the UK, I learned that at 1 yo and my old man was based there in the British Army ( a sniper) and made many friends in Southern Ireland, It's just me i think. I hate Northern and Southern Ireland just like the English hate Wales and Scotland.I just think that both countries have held us back for years and the world be a happier place without them and all their troubles. Inbred 2yo kids wearing Celtic n Rangers tops- embarassing

  • @RomanticideMusic .. Yes they have 6 counties, collectively known as Ulster. DUMP

  • @RomanticideMusic . Mate, Im Scottish born and bred, i don't have to google 'define an English person'... Its possibly the biggest hatred in the world - Historically.

  • Gonna go see them at Fat Sam's Dundee in March...I cannae fuckin wait ya bass. x :)

  • good fuckin tune though, great band.

  • @jacobrubinstein So is Johnny Was...a good fuckin tune, probably one of the best covers ever doll. x :)

  • @weeredsparrow ye, they were a band with something to say, they had a few good tracks pal. memories of silver merrydown and thunderbirds, can't mind if it was red or blue thunderbirds, it was the stronger of the two thats what i remember. x

  • @jacobrubinstein I was more of a MD 20/20 girl myself...especially pink grapefruit with a wee dash o pernod...class-a-lady lol. x :)

  • @weeredsparrow md 20/20 and pernod, that just says broken glass and police vans with a set of handcuffs doll.

  • @jacobrubinstein I dinnae think the bizzies were allowed to handcuff and chuck 14 year old lassies in the back of police vans doll... I'm pretty sure that's against the law lol x :)

  • @weeredsparrow i think they can pal, especially when yir wasted on 20/20 and pernod. they can handcuff anybody above 11 years old i think. i think anyway. but you may be correct.

  • Comment removed

  • @jacobrubinstein Well they never when I was wee doll lol. x

  • yes, for fuck sake please. an alternative ulster, once and for all. it's getting fuckin dull. ireland unite and all the wannabe english lovers can fuck of and live in england. the world has got bigger problems facing it and this shit house of a province has taken up enough time and effort. it's not as though it's the pinnacle of human civilisation. no offence to any body unlucky enough to live there but you'r shower of violent backward alcoholics. and i'm from scotland originaly.

  • Comment removed

  • @40ChampagneSupernova well, i can't help but ask,, infact i am forced to ask, "who the fuck are you calling a backward alcoholic scot" ? did i not have to tell you earlier on, crazy nurse Ratchet. your bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired lady. have a laugh when you want though, i'm easy. i'll keep you right doll.

  • @jacobrubinstein .. I thought all Scots were ALL backwards alcoholics,

I was aware that alcohol abuse in Sctland is the worst in the UK, if not Europe.

Go have yourself a few more cigarettes and another bottle of Whisky. Do you people still wear skirts to weddings ? and wank of to Bannockburn 1314, when the real destruction happened at Culloden (no film about that one).. And your poor little country has been tied to England's bitches ever since, aww - No freedom for the Scots-)

  • @40ChampagneSupernova cigarettes and whiskey are fuckin vile. and i've never wore a kilt in my life and i don't masterbate to bannockburn as your photo seems to be sufficiant for the time being :-) only kidding doll, i'd rather wank of to banockburn you'r right.

  • @40ChampagneSupernova Ya should see what oor men keep unner their kil'ts doll...it wid bring tears tae yer eye's likesey. x :P

  • @weeredsparrow ... Whats up there, a referendum or a wee ginger hing !!!xdx

  • @40ChampagneSupernova Oh come on doll everyone kens that Scottish Beef is the best in the World..Fact!

I say fuck the referendum, we should stop ALL the oil, gas, water, electricity, food, cannon-folder now...let the British State :) drown in it's ain shite likesey...oh and we should also tie a tartan ribbon round ALL their WMD's and send them back...by airmail tae. x :)

  • @weeredsparrow.Totally agree with everything that you say bar one point..

It's not our oil its the Queen's -(... and even if we do get independence she will still be head of state as she is in Australia and other countries due to the land etc that she owns unfortunateley.. Do you think Nicola Sturgeon and that ego maniac pie eating knobend Alex Salmond can run our country ? God forbit ma friend, we would be crawling back to Westminster for money unless the golfs on at St Andrews-)

  • @40ChampagneSupernova Over 90% of the oil would be in an independent Scotlands waters toots and that means the majority of the revenues that Westmonster syphons off would come directly to Scotland thus giving the Scotland the 6th highest GPD in Europe. Why else do you think Westmonster wants to keep it's shitty mitts on Scotland, why not cut us free if we are that much of a financial drain. You should google the McCrone Report and educate yourself a wee bit doll. lol. x :)

  • @weeredsparrow.I thought McCrones was to do with visiting the toilet !!! Thanks for the info though, that sounds like an excellent explanation and thanks for that it makes total sense. I'm not too clued up on the way it's gonna work, my mate knows his stuff and little by little i'm getting there. The parts that worry me are we are buying cheap coal from Russia (i worked at an opencast) its around £25- £30 per tonne, we should be exporting it,we're even importing whisky from China?

  • still go to see them when they tour. SLF still kick it every time!!

  • I went to see Pierced Arrows, and the opening band called Squeezer surprised me with a SLF cover. And another one. Two more. Bloody hell - if you want to play some covers to spice up your set, this was definitely a sign of good taste :-)

  • Love them

  • The Clash have nothing on the Stiff Little Fingers.

  • Locked up with the chills....Such a great song and representation of the time.

  • one of the best punk bands ever, saw them twice in the 80's, also once with bruce foxton when he did smithers jones .

  • 1978 @mrwibbles

  • Or whatever year it was, I might be wrong on 1976, my memory isn't what it used to be.

  • A friend in Toronto has been looking like crazy for the original vinyl release of Inflammable Material). I'm going to be a hero and give him my tenderly cared for import that I bought in 1976. I'm a fusking great guy, cause that album totally rocks.

  • So...when someone like me, a 14 year old says 'I'm 14 and I love it'...does that mean, we'll still be seen as awesome when we're 80?? And all the people who were there at the time will be dead? Won't be there to be impressed?? Nice one. xD

This band was a big influence on my life, especially "Gotta Get Away" and "Tin Soldier" that summed up my life, "Barbed Wire Love", "Johnny Was" all lyrics had relevance.

  • i've grown up a punk all my life and have taken great pride in the fact that the punk brought to the masses in 1976 was taken for real by so many (except undertones n a few others) but and the uk bands from 1980 onwards (exploited, gbh, subhumans, peter n testubes) created the greatest subculture movement of all time, its stll there all over the world n actually growing, SLF are one of the most unique n best, long live punk its here forever
