  • You can run Windows AND Mac OS X on pretty much modern machine, PC or Mac. Of course running Mac OS X on a PC requires some shady work, its not difficult.

    No Macbook is as strong as any Thinkpad. Thinkpads have spill gutters in the keyboards for god's sake.

    I'll admit Thinkpads don't look like modern laptops, you either love the look or hate it, but they have their fans.

    Personally, I think the Air is a joke, but I like the new aluminum Macbook, it's still under an inch thick and cheaper.

  • Macs do run windows and I fail to see why people fall for the Mac shiny outward appearance. the fact people choose a mac that is under powerd, lacks an optical drive, and uses a regular hard disk over a the lenovo witch has more power, a dvd drive and is built better. PS. to all you windows naysayers mac is no better the thing is you need to keep your windows updated witch mac does autimaticly but its not that much work and will improve your exprience.

  • Thinkpads arent made out of plastic. there made out of carbon-fiber reinforced with a magnesium alloy roll cage...titanium on some older models.

  • Oh what would you like AppleIsAwesome12345? A shiny overpriced piece of trash like the MacBook Air, over 3 lbs, barely any ports, no CD drive, an internal non-user replaceable battery, that looks thinner than it really is because it tapers off to one side?

    Thinkpads are for real computer users, who care about strong build quality (a car can drive over a Thinkpad and it'll still work), and still want all the functionality.

    The X300 manages to be under 2.6 lbs even with a DVD burner!

  • Check out Thinkpad T500 and W500. They match your every description except the thickness, lol. Or maybe you can wait for a few more years, lol.

  • Nobody mentions the fact that the SSD in the x300 has only a limited amount of read and writes it can do until it simple dies on you. Any, and I mean ANY, normal HDD lasts about 5 times longer. Time will tell. People will find out the hard way in a few years.

  • lenovo doesn't really go for the gaming laptops. I got one during a massive thanksgiving sale, so I didn't really get to check much of the specs (regretting it now). Its only a 1.7 ghz processor, with vista, and is considerably slow, plus can't play most games.

  • I got a sony TZ and yes it is slow i never shut down my pc..... but i don;t have a SSD HD so maybe that y

  • Air are for fashion focused, not really ideal for business environment... no docking option, one usb (what the hell), no user replaceable battery... these two machines are made for two user communities, the only convergence is both users want portability...

  • Apple Iphone is such a shit, its locked to AT & T in USA, if you unlock it then the warranty is voided..... also come on why is it not available in 3G systems......

  • i know you know, but i am just venting my anger... because Apple refused to honour the warranty on my phone, because someone unlocked it for me.... its so stupid, i am not getting any specific subsidies with the iphone by staying with the carrier.... stupid Apple, just like their crappy batteries in their ipods, whom were clearly manufacturing defects, yet they want to charge 100 dollars to get it replaced....
