yes, the originals were great and are great stand-alone games that don't need a remake.

It's doesn't tie in, it is not set in with the MGS canon, its an original story for the GBC separate from the 3d series. The real name is Metal Gear Ghost Babel, but in America it was released as Metal Gear Solid, which leads to all the confusion. You can't play Ghost Babel and move to Sons of Liberty, the story won't line up..

no they weren't. The original is in the MSX system in Japan. and I don't recall an N64 one. There were the NES ones but Kojima didn't make them and even denied it's a part of the metal gear saga. the first Kojima MG that came out in US is MGS and it's on PS.
