A modern 600 would outrun my '06 in a straight line...just but its not all about straight line performance. Own one and you'd understand. I loved every bit of mine, clocked nearly 10,000 miles. Did trackdays & Isle of Man & yes it had its quirks but it for noise alone it was worth it. (mine was mapped with an arrow can)
Cheaper than a 600, far better on torque, visually stunning, sounds immense. Its not all about outright speed and power if it can't put it down properly or your Mr Rossi ;-)
Don't get me wrong, I loved the bike. Only sold it because I had to raise some cash. Sublime handling and fantastic noise meant that I could just potter around rolling the throttle on and off listening to the gearbox and exhaust make music. It does beat 600s in a straight line and around corners (especially bumpy ones). Definitely recommend a test ride on one if you ever get the chance!
I read your comments on your own bike and you dont sound too happy chap. Its a cracking looking ride and sounds great. Its the same price as a 600? Dont compare it to anything else, just enjoy it pal. Cheers!
If you want a bike that turns heads, Handles & given the right rider will compete with anything on the road...look no further

Your bike is/was about 6 bhp down at the rear wheel, maybe down to the dyno or the bike.
