John was the voice I grew up with and I fell in love with his soft horse voice even before I saw him in things like Dallas. My grandpa had recordings of his radio shows we listened to. When Charlie's Angels came out, I could have cared less if I watched the show, I just wanted to hear Charlie (John). He was a great man and I will be sorely missed by people like me that grew up listening to him. Too bad he didnt make a recording of bedtime stories (that I know of). RIP
To Rome With Love was one of the rarely seen family shows starring John Forsythe.
FYI: The series lasted 2 seasons on CBS and was produced by the same people who brought us two of the greatest family sitcoms of the 60's "My Three Sons",and "Family Affair"..under the executive producer Don Fedderson. The series produced 83 episodes and ran on CBS from 1969 until 1971.
@rayssonation I was a fan of that show. wrote Susan Neher a letter, and she wrote back. A real letter, not 1 of those form letters. Fond, fond memories.
Didn't realise he was the voice of Charlie in Charlie's Angels. Heard he died recently as well. Seemed - past tense because he's dead now - like a kind and gentle guy.
He really looks good at the age of 90. Glad to learn he was born and raised in New Jersey, my homestate. Married his wife in 1943 and stayed with her till her death in the 1990's. What a gentleman he was. God bless you John Forsythe aka Blake Carrington and Charlie.
It is incredible to learn that Mr Forsythe is 90 yars old in this interview. He is an absolute gentleman; I am saddened to hear of his passing today. God Bless John Lincoln Freund
It's always sad when someone from TV dies. Kinda feels like we knew them when we really didn't. Nonetheless, I was sad to hear he passed away, but he leaves us with some delightful memories!
A very interesting interview with a fascinating man. I am sorry to hear that he has passed away although he became quite old. He was born in a different era that has gone forever so his experience which he shared with us was like a step into another world. I think I would have liked the time in which he grew up.
I am very sad that this icon of American television is gone. I grew up in the 1980s watching the world's greatest television show, Dynasty, every Wednesday night. There will never be another Blake Carrington. R.I.P. John Forsythe.
such a shame this shows isnt on anymore but it had runs its course pullo and vorenus were the best the episodes are online at Rome Streams online -dot - info
John has a good hair transplant. I'm not taking a shot at him in any way. If you look at him from the 1950s, you'll see that his hairline was actually higher back then.
LOL. Iknow, right! But yeah, the interviewer was just doing his thing. John played the hell outta that character on Dynasty! I'm watching it now on DVD.

Are you speaking from the year 2010? He said he was born in 1918, so he's not quite 92 by my watch

the way the guy was asking questions at the beginning (what was your father's name and so on)it's as if he was trying to see if mr forsythe was sane

good god obviously you don't know much about how one goes about collecting oral histories. Biographical details, for obvious reasons, are important.
