I have picop already and works great using my windows phone only thing i trying figure out is how do i hear sound if I am watching a video???? seems like it only projects but what about the sound?
Sh-sh-sh... Here is a coupon code to get VGA Dock for free when you buy SHOWWX at the Microvision site (otherwise it's $50!): MVISREF1229. Valid until 9/30/2010
I'm extremely disappointed that this product isn't in production. They pretending to take your email address on their site in order for you to get info on this vapoware product. Why? To turn you into figures so that they can sell the technolgy to mobile phone companies. I'm jus wondering if they are also selling on your email addresses. Optoma Pico Pocket Projectors are available for purchase now.
I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT MICROVISION WILL NOT SELL YOU A PROJECTOR - Nowhere on their website to buy it or get pricing or find vendors who sell it, then I write to them and ask why not or for details and they give a vague answer about when it's ready, no ETA, no nothing.
Why is this Channel wasting our time with a product the manufacturer refuses to sell?
This thing is total vaporware. It looks like a great product, but they've been showing off working prototypes for 2 years now and you still can't buy it anywhere.
this would be perfect for replacing traditional projectors. Either ramp up the unit's resolution, or chain together 4 of them to project a single higher resolution image.
also i'd like them to increase the laser power so it's able to go brighter. Laser projectors like this should be the brightest projectors in existance, each pixel should be at least as powerful as a laser pointer spot - why not?
will both of you just listen to what the guy says @ 1:30 and beyond...
those lines are made by the camera, because the projector and camera have different images per seccond rates.
E.G. when the projector projects images @ 60 Hz (60 frames per second) and the camera captures the images @ 25 Hz, then the camera will have some point, where it is not fast enough to capture all images. that's why black lines show up.
wow it shoots protons does it svenderson??? Go back to yr 7 science. And go take a video of a television with ur portable camera. SpecialeW is correct. The portable camera takes pictures at a slower rate, and thus leaves out some of the pictures causing black lines.
Very true. That would be like switching a microscopic black holes or higgs boson on and off to control the rays. A very extreme enginerring would be required.
LMAO @ 1:08

Maybe the new projector phones killed it.
And vaporware only exists on paper.

crt use magnets to bend the rays but the laser rays cant be bent but the mirrors tilt the rays. so the concept is a bit different.
deaftodd 2 years ago
gravity can bend light rays
