I'm pretty sure none of you have really watched a real game of football. A knee on the ground does not affect anything if it is in bounds. The only thing that matters is that the ball does not shift (it can help MAINTAIN possession) when touching the ground (which Madden can't accurately replicate) and every body part is in bounds. And, most importantly, it's a VIDEO GAME. Hope this clears it up.
