@djalexr007 , the gs 350 is 306 hp but check the torque, the torque on 430 is 325 and the gs 350 is alot less than that. That mean the car pull isnt hard at a dead stop. even if the car sold or not..i have a question...hope u can answer it. What is the difference between the 2006 Lexus GS430 V8 300 HP and the Lexus 2007 Lexus GS350 VS 303 HP? witch one would be better for faster ride and better performance? can u tell me the differences please
lol keep hating but in the end of each year lexus always come on top, mb and bmw are outdated they should stop invest money on safety and start on working on the interior, look like shit specially bmw dash havent change since forever. mb have been around for so long yet lexus is right upon their ass that show you how close lexus come 20 something years and now they are one of the best known car maker and seller thats a fact. end of the story. @DragonsKing91 Hahaha Germans should stop investing in safety? Japanese (and Korean) engineers are stuffed in subway cars on their way to work, why would they care about safety? German engineers commute through the alps at 140mph each day, who will build a safer or better performing car? Instead of research and development, Toyota's(LuxuryEXportUnitedStates)LEXUS fools gullible types with massive advertising budgets extolling the virtues of "their" technology, when in fact most of it was stolen.
Commonly spoken. And you think what... American, German cars are better? Nah, Lexus is the most reliable car on the face of this Earth. Once you get behind the wheel, trust. You will see.
@02camry How can anyone prove that Lexus is the most reliable?
Ive not seen any with over 200K. Ive seen Toyota's with lots of miles but not Lexus. And i can defiantly agree that Toyota's can be reliable up to a point. But you'll always get lemon no matter what car company. Ive seen R&R's that were unreliable. And I've seen Volkswagen's That had just over a million. I had a 97 Corolla that broke down on me with its second motor in it. I got rid of it still under warranty.
@Lexlus42 I agree, there are defective models or "lemons." BUT if you look it up, Lexus has the least amount of problems out of any car maker. However, the other companies are catching up!
@02camry Well I have a '07 Camry hybrid, it's had quite a few issues since I bought it (mines was made in Japan). Both power outlets (cig. lighters) stopped working (not fuse). brakes started squealing after 8 months. 1 key fob/remote stopped working after 6 months. both sun visors inside the car broke, & the side airbag cover keeps falling. & the car burns oil; after 2-3 weeks I have to add oil, cause it keeps going down. A LOT!!!
@rayj778 Well, as I've stated in the past, there are a few "lemons." Every car company isn't perfect. Just some are a bit better than others. However, I am very sorry for the headache. I can honestly say that the sixth generation Camry is a direct model of Toyota's reputation quality decline. My Gen 5 was problem-less, Mine was also made in Japan, had over 221,000 miles. Now I have a 06 RX 330, and love it. Maybe the next Camry will revive Toyota. Who knows.
@BMWFAN01 Yeah, I heard the interior materials are much better than the last generation. I just don't find it too big on the styling this year... Gen 5 is still the best looking IMO...
From Americans and British in the first phase. Later, thay have been gaining the technology from Germans mostly. Now, it's 50:50. Heh, I know so many satisfied BMW owners. Trouble free cars, really.
Bmw and mercedes cars are just such ugly, garish overpriced cars. Who buys these foolish vehicles? At Least Lexus hits the sweet spot with its understated elegance and unmatched reliability.
fucking american boy r u sure you own a lexus because jap cars and american dont match not the right cup of tea wrong car for u american to drive take your american pos to the dumpster
Class like a Lincoln? lol. You can have your class, along with all the squeaks and rattles in your Lincoln at 40,000 miles, when I am enjoying a whisper quiet cabin along with unshakable reliability at 150,000+ miles. This car has refinement, luxury, and quality that usually takes $10,000 and $20,000 more to get. American car makers aren't even in the ball park to the quality offered by Lexus and others.
Lexus best luxury cars in the world!!! Mercedes and BMW is garbage, costs thousands to maintain. Lexus technology, reliabilty, and luxury are the best.
Lexus is japanese garbage it costs way too much to mintain. Drive frst than talk u turds.Overpriced japanese cars suck and they are gutless. tnguyen318 is a dum nip
lol, these gutless overpriced japanese cars are a joke. It costs ridiculous amounts of money to get any serious power out of them. I guess some people like wasting money on tin cans
I would rather invest in a lexus. I.E. all a Town car is me a price gouged crown victoria. My grandfather had a 1992 town car and in 1995 @ about 45,000 miles the tranny went out and it still even had the new smell!! These dont dont hold there value as well as lexus cause I see so many of them as taxi cabs
What is this so called "Trademark Look" because to me Mercedes, Audi, Jag, BMW still all produce cars that look drastically different from their predecessors. So according to you Lexus has to have this nonexistent "Trademark Look" just to be a classic? What happen to a good quality product that performs well becoming a classic?
Go ahead drive your euro made, overpriced, inferior car around I am only tryin to help u, Toyota/Lexus DID out sell any other manufacture out there for a reason!!!!!
All safety features on any car are nade with america only. We are the only country with laws that require safety features. American destined cars have cup holders and tvs because we think cars are not made for only driving.
People, Lexus is the ONLY car brand that Mercedes itself proclaimed to be the only real competition for them. So there you are... German cars are perfect, but Japanese have totally different direction of production, ideas and technology...Which I personally-like!!!
BMW 750il V12 is the top of its range vs. Lexus/Toyota 600 - and keep in mind that China is now poised to follow the theft bit - Korea and Japan will feel the heat of lower priced competitors that thrive on reverse engineering
BMW V12 is NOT the top of its range against Lexus LS600h and do keep in mind that Lexus is the only 20 year company that can manage to achieve brand prestige recognition. You are so stupid, every company is feeling the fucking heat they're all trying to kill each other. Price is a different story, its all trying to satisfy consumers. Lexus will totally surpass when they brush up for more models and perfecting performance. Lexus has surpass the Germans in certain perspective.
Oh, you mean the 850 V12 coupe instead? Lexus isn't a company, its a badge on a Toyota-billions spent on commercials instead of engineering=recognition - The price heat up is because the Toyota strategy is being used by Korea and China (prices subsidized by central bank funded tech theft).
As far as heads of state - they ride in Mercedes because they are the safest, in regards to attack as well as evasion - an armored version can still out-run/out-handle most comers. BMW also has an armored version that's a box checked on the options form - Lexus is less expensive because they don't need an R&D dept. And 4matic's been an option long before Toyota offered awd
Mercedes is not the only company is regarded the safest you fool. ANY company can produce an armoured car. In fact all most government only owns a car that is of their own. Like Gordon Brown with his armoured Jaguar.
Your perspective is laughable - Mercedes introduced every modern safety system - three point seatbelts, safety glass, airbags, crumple zones, Anti-lock brakes, Anti-Spin control, Brake Assist, Safety restraint system, gyro based pop-up rollover bars, pre-collision, LED brake-lights that illuminate quicker...etc. Now, give me the list of what Toyota/Lexus has given us. Check "Mercedes Inventions" here on youtube for a taste
You mean Toyota rules-and power door closers were on the 1992 Mercedes S-class and have never departed-which goes back to the point at hand - which is gadgetry expensively designed, developed, and safety tested by the Germans, quickly reverse-engineered and expensively marketed by the Japanese. The Koreans are now doing it to the Japanese, how come no one here gets defensive about that?
You got that right, Toyota does rule, they're aiming to sell more than 10 million cars a year. The Japanese have always been able to adopt wide variety of gadgets in their cars esp the LS. They're not necassarily expensive to adopt on their production cars. You're jealous, just because the Japanese is spear-heading the Germans for technology and its Asian success.
You just agreed with me but made it sound acceptable - that's fine, but how will future advances be made when there is no reward? If you spend $50,000,000 developing a more efficient, powerful engine (variable valve timing) and next year Toyota has it in their commercials? Jealous? Just pointing out the why of it. Check youtube for "Mercedes Timeline" and reply with one as good instead of pointless babbling
You guys are ingnorant - German engineers drive to work at 140mph through the alps-Jap engineers are stuffed into a subway car by guys with white gloves-Lexus is a Toyota with leather, chrome, and big price hike, invented for gullible Americans (Lexus=Luxury EXport US) They never invented anything but self-parking (weak) because they spend all their time reverse engineering German cars.
Lexus are reliable because they spend no R&D money-instead they spend on marketing and copying the works of others, 99% of features can be found on a German car first (which crash tested it for sometimes 10 years before introduced). If you knew it was coming, which would you be in for a head-on collision w/a Benz? After 12 years of testing, Pre-Collision goes on M-Benz-one year later its on a Lexus - it's cultural for them to steal ideas, been doing it for 1000years
A car's reliabilty depends on its owner. Cars don't take care of themselves or choose how they're driven. Look at demographics of the people buying lexus/toyota. They are not the type to treat a car badly or throw speed parts on them and tear it up.
the car's reliablility does not necassarily depends on its owners. but you can still say that in some way. But think about how many people are using their like that in such extent. its like getting in and getting out, drive and drive thats all.
would you spend $1000 for a celebrity's autographed bucket of their own shit or would you spend the same money to buy quality furniture from a decent store that does not come with celebrity autograph. same principle applies when you buy cars.
agree, dlo, these racist jap-haters are all over youtube, these teenage faggots and old farts need to realize that sales reflect from QUALITY, not NATIONAL ORIGIN. yank tanks and kraut mobiles suck these days, lexus is #1, and the most prestigious of them all.
Lexus exists as Toyota's marketing gimmick for 20 years, none of them perfom very impressivley - Mercedes invents cars in 1876 and has built the fastest and safest sedans in the world since(with dozens at the dealer today that would decimate any Lexus ever made). Which one is more prestigious? Look at the difference in numbers for views and videos here on youtube and its obvious.
The heads of state of most of the world's countries drive in Mercedes, even the Pope cruises around in one - celebrities & CEOs in G55s and S600s are at the pinnacles of their careers - second string rappers roll the Lexus though (until they ride in their producer's cars). So that's cool.
The editors of car mags can't help but mostly disagree, even when the Japanese are responsible for 80% of advertising revenue. And why does every new Lexus look like a four year old BMW or Mercedes? Not only features and engineering are stolen, but looks as well. The Chinese are doing the same thing to everyone else so it will be interesting to see how Toyota responds to the taste of their own medecine.
you're talking shit here m8, Yeh yeh I can see where you're coming from and all but I don't think you are making any logical sense about this matter. And you certainly talk like some pathetic german fan.
Did you make a point? I'm a fan of whoever makes the best stuff, how's that pathetic - show me a gun company better than Heckler&Koch, show me an all-around car better than an S65. But i'm not a fan of thieves - that's why I come down hard on Toyota and to a lesser degree Honda and Nissan (not Suburu). I also indict China for the same thing. The logic is simple - if patent laws were enforced, where would modern Asia be today?
Your intelligence is limited at best - Arrogance comes from pride and I'm not German. Spastic angry replies do not support your flawed perspective and neither do the hundreds of car magazine editors who have driven both cars - Even the "600" in the Lexus name is borrowed from Mercedes along with 90% of the technology. The question was of design piracy which you have again ignored - in some countries they cut off the hands of thieves-I'm just saying they suck ass...like you.
90%? Where did you get that figure from? Unless it's from a credible source, I suggest you shouldn't go throwing around random numbers like that. If you're trying to make people believe that Japanese cars have little credibility, then you're doing a good job convincing them of just the opposite.
happy new year - 90% comes from deducting self parking (though that uses ultrasonic parking sensors, developed by Mercedes) and the impressive hybrid technology-everything else appeared other manufacturer's cars first-Japanese cars have credibility, but it came from reverse engineering rather than research and development-challenge remains, name me a Lexus/Toyota system innovation aside from the aforementioned-not worried about 'convincing' here m8, facts is facts
Tell me would you use a Mercedes' off roader or a Toyota's off roader in an inhabitable scorching hot dessert? I would laugh my ass off if you picked the first one coz NO-ONE would use a Merc for nasty enviromental conditions. Thats why Toyota outsell Merc, obviously its reliable and dependable the whole world use a Toyota truck like america, sweden, russia, iraq, africa you name it.
Take a Mercedes Unimog ANYWHERE you would any toyota truck - developed in the 1950s it's 6th generation is still being used by the California fire departments because nothing else can get water up a mountain as well - or the UN's fleet of Gelandewagens - They were developed for the Shah of Iran's military in the 1970s and are right at home in the scorching desert - Or as a G55 stomping 5.3 second sprints to 60 - The best ain't cheap but it is the best - OK, class dismissed.

do you atually think I hate german cars?
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
As far as heads of state - they ride in Mercedes because they are the safest, in regards to attack as well as evasion - an armored version can still out-run/out-handle most comers. BMW also has an armored version that's a box checked on the options form - Lexus is less expensive because they don't need an R&D dept. And 4matic's been an option long before Toyota offered awd
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
Mercedes is not the only company is regarded the safest you fool. ANY company can produce an armoured car. In fact all most government only owns a car that is of their own. Like Gordon Brown with his armoured Jaguar.
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
Your perspective is laughable - Mercedes introduced every modern safety system - three point seatbelts, safety glass, airbags, crumple zones, Anti-lock brakes, Anti-Spin control, Brake Assist, Safety restraint system, gyro based pop-up rollover bars, pre-collision, LED brake-lights that illuminate quicker...etc. Now, give me the list of what Toyota/Lexus has given us. Check "Mercedes Inventions" here on youtube for a taste
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
You mean Toyota rules-and power door closers were on the 1992 Mercedes S-class and have never departed-which goes back to the point at hand - which is gadgetry expensively designed, developed, and safety tested by the Germans, quickly reverse-engineered and expensively marketed by the Japanese. The Koreans are now doing it to the Japanese, how come no one here gets defensive about that?
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
You got that right, Toyota does rule, they're aiming to sell more than 10 million cars a year. The Japanese have always been able to adopt wide variety of gadgets in their cars esp the LS. They're not necassarily expensive to adopt on their production cars. You're jealous, just because the Japanese is spear-heading the Germans for technology and its Asian success.
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
You just agreed with me but made it sound acceptable - that's fine, but how will future advances be made when there is no reward? If you spend $50,000,000 developing a more efficient, powerful engine (variable valve timing) and next year Toyota has it in their commercials? Jealous? Just pointing out the why of it. Check youtube for "Mercedes Timeline" and reply with one as good instead of pointless babbling

You guys are ingnorant - German engineers drive to work at 140mph through the alps-Jap engineers are stuffed into a subway car by guys with white gloves-Lexus is a Toyota with leather, chrome, and big price hike, invented for gullible Americans (Lexus=Luxury EXport US) They never invented anything but self-parking (weak) because they spend all their time reverse engineering German cars.
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
Lexus are reliable because they spend no R&D money-instead they spend on marketing and copying the works of others, 99% of features can be found on a German car first (which crash tested it for sometimes 10 years before introduced). If you knew it was coming, which would you be in for a head-on collision w/a Benz? After 12 years of testing, Pre-Collision goes on M-Benz-one year later its on a Lexus - it's cultural for them to steal ideas, been doing it for 1000years
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
Maybe, but Lexus and Toyota still set the benchmark for reliability and dependability, and therefore is where my money goes.
JackMacyntire 4 years ago
A car's reliabilty depends on its owner. Cars don't take care of themselves or choose how they're driven. Look at demographics of the people buying lexus/toyota. They are not the type to treat a car badly or throw speed parts on them and tear it up.
tamapalagi 4 years ago
the car's reliablility does not necassarily depends on its owners. but you can still say that in some way. But think about how many people are using their like that in such extent. its like getting in and getting out, drive and drive thats all.
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
At :55, correction...There is no Lexus IS430...
FoxValleyMotorcars 4 years ago
would you spend $1000 for a celebrity's autographed bucket of their own shit or would you spend the same money to buy quality furniture from a decent store that does not come with celebrity autograph. same principle applies when you buy cars.
lavakava 4 years ago
agree, dlo, these racist jap-haters are all over youtube, these teenage faggots and old farts need to realize that sales reflect from QUALITY, not NATIONAL ORIGIN. yank tanks and kraut mobiles suck these days, lexus is #1, and the most prestigious of them all.
lavakava 4 years ago
lavakava if u give a sane person with common sense the choice to pick a free lexus/merc in the same range, chances are they are gonna take a merc.
End of story.

Look at the difference in numbers for views and videos here on youtube and its obvious.
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
The heads of state of most of the world's countries drive in Mercedes, even the Pope cruises around in one - celebrities & CEOs in G55s and S600s are at the pinnacles of their careers - second string rappers roll the Lexus though (until they ride in their producer's cars). So that's cool.
WellMuscledRussell 4 years ago
definitely betta than 5-series and a6
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
The editors of car mags can't help but mostly disagree, even when the Japanese are responsible for 80% of advertising revenue. And why does every new Lexus look like a four year old BMW or Mercedes? Not only features and engineering are stolen, but looks as well. The Chinese are doing the same thing to everyone else so it will be interesting to see how Toyota responds to the taste of their own medecine.
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
you're talking shit here m8, Yeh yeh I can see where you're coming from and all but I don't think you are making any logical sense about this matter. And you certainly talk like some pathetic german fan.
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
Did you make a point? I'm a fan of whoever makes the best stuff, how's that pathetic - show me a gun company better than Heckler&Koch, show me an all-around car better than an S65. But i'm not a fan of thieves - that's why I come down hard on Toyota and to a lesser degree Honda and Nissan (not Suburu). I also indict China for the same thing. The logic is simple - if patent laws were enforced, where would modern Asia be today?
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
what the hell?! of course LS 600h is better than the S65 anyday!
You are a stupid arrogant motherfucker ignorant piece shit 'I'm not a fan of thieves' jeezus.
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
Your intelligence is limited at best - Arrogance comes from pride and I'm not German. Spastic angry replies do not support your flawed perspective and neither do the hundreds of car magazine editors who have driven both cars - Even the "600" in the Lexus name is borrowed from Mercedes along with 90% of the technology. The question was of design piracy which you have again ignored - in some countries they cut off the hands of thieves-I'm just saying they suck ass...like you.
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
90%? Where did you get that figure from? Unless it's from a credible source, I suggest you shouldn't go throwing around random numbers like that. If you're trying to make people believe that Japanese cars have little credibility, then you're doing a good job convincing them of just the opposite.
Hokit 4 years ago
happy new year - 90% comes from deducting self parking (though that uses ultrasonic parking sensors, developed by Mercedes) and the impressive hybrid technology-everything else appeared other manufacturer's cars first-Japanese cars have credibility, but it came from reverse engineering rather than research and development-challenge remains, name me a Lexus/Toyota system innovation aside from the aforementioned-not worried about 'convincing' here m8, facts is facts
hastertthebastard 4 years ago
Tell me would you use a Mercedes' off roader or a Toyota's off roader in an inhabitable scorching hot dessert? I would laugh my ass off if you picked the first one coz NO-ONE would use a Merc for nasty enviromental conditions. Thats why Toyota outsell Merc, obviously its reliable and dependable the whole world use a Toyota truck like america, sweden, russia, iraq, africa you name it.
dlobrown8888 4 years ago
Take a Mercedes Unimog ANYWHERE you would any toyota truck - developed in the 1950s it's 6th generation is still being used by the California fire departments because nothing else can get water up a mountain as well - or the UN's fleet of Gelandewagens - They were developed for the Shah of Iran's military in the 1970s and are right at home in the scorching desert - Or as a G55 stomping 5.3 second sprints to 60 - The best ain't cheap but it is the best - OK, class dismissed.
