Jagjit singh & Gulam Ali both are legends. One version may be more appealing to anyone -- one element in this version that attracts me is "Highly divine valuation of dear life partner", I m also fan of Gulam Ali version.

Tune almost the same as Gulam Ali sang. But variation and rendition plus musical instruments used to create slight difference, which impair the ears to remember its original version sang by Gulam Ali! Of course .... the poet Ibne-Insah will have double Royalties.....

Can we call it his style & not say that he screwed them? He never claimed to be a classical singer. I do agree most people like gazals with tabla and harmonium, violin etc. He goes about his gazals differently. But that does not mean that he's bad at what he does. Maybe you disagree. But you can't deny that he does do a lot of justice to music. Now, if only you appreciate music, then don't compare 2 things. I do listen to classical music and gazal from many artist. No bias here!
