that's the thing I don't really like about Chris Angel..not hating on the guy but when you watch this trick for the 1st time, it's easily apparent that there is something underneath the water holding him. what exactly, I didn't know but still. I think he just focuses too much on camera angels and assistants. same goes with his "walk through the mirror" effect. I knew the gist of that trick right from the start. i'd rather see some sleight of hand tricks with cards instead.

American magician Chris Angel did the same trick last year, but

he did it in a swimming pool surrounded by swimmers. Once the

pool was drained, you could clearly see the plastic platforms set up

on the bottom of the pool, with occasional openings so that

a swimmer could swim past him while he walked along ( Chris was careful to step over the openings).

It is no great stretch to apply the same principles to doing the same

trick in a river, or any calm body of water.

of plexiglas is close to that of water, so that it becomes invisible

once immersed. (something you can demonstrate for yourself at

home by immersing a piece of plexi in a glass of water).

set several inches below the water. Think of it as a plastic

box that is set on the bottom of the river, carefully sized so that
