After watching many of your walking videos, I've finally figured out why I like them so much. The handheld camera makes the long takes personal. The forward camera movement gives a mysterious, intriguing feel. The lights and colours are well balanced. Also, the infinite eye focus gives the 3D effect to the picture. The indistinct sounds make you feel as if you were a ghost eavedropping in the scene. The whole thing is hypnotizing, like a movie in itself.
Okay, I've watched this many times and have many questions. What are the distinct voices saying, especially the two old guys and the guy pointing out something to the guy with the phone. What sort of place is this, underground? What does that one lamp have a protective netting over it? Why are some places full of people and some empty? What do the signs say? Is it all bars and restaurants? I love this video. Have more questions...
Wow! I've been in that *exact* alley in Yurakucho where the video's first frames begin. Even though the clutter has changed in ~4 years, the signage is the same. I compared it to a bunch of photos I took.
I went to a tiny bar there and had beer and kimchi with my ex-girlfriend's Dad, and he'd been going to that bar often since he was a young man.
@hiokinskywalker I wish I afford to travel to Japan again. I have no work right now, so I have to settle for videos by yourself and others (and teaching myself how to make Japanese food). I would happily buy you a beer in thanks next time I can make to Tokyo!

いつも楽しみに観てます。観ていると自分がそこへ来ている感じになります。今度、静岡県の遠州森町の「森のまつり」の風景を撮影してほしいです。
