  • thanks it worked

  • I have 2 backups in that folder, so i went to extract them onto my desktop, one worked, but the other didn't - it said it was opened in another file or program, so i close everything and tried again, but it still continued to tell me it was open somewhere else, but it wasn't! How do i fix it?!

  • if i do a fresh backup will it delete my apps and music etc.... on my Ipod?

  • i don't even have C:\user\[username]\App Data\Roaming\Apple computer\MobileSync\Backup. there's no app data in my account.

i am logged in as administrator. please help!

  • @226halo you will not find APP DATE beacause this folder it`s hidden. Click on Left Top -> ORANIZE, select FOLDER AND SEARH OPTION, the VIEW and then select botton SHOW HIDDEN FILLES, FOLDER OR DRIVERS.. after that , your APP DATA folder will appears ! :) cheers

  • @226halo if ur on windows 7 or vista or something, just go run, then type in %appdata%

  • got the same problem with EEmmaaa619VIDEOS.. pleaassssee help! thanks!

  • i'm gonna cry, i've thried everything, but i cant do it ;(

  • When I go to delete the folder in my backup folder, it says it cannot be deleted because it's in use with another program.. but I do not have any other programs running, can anyone help?

  • @EEmmaaa619VIDEOS i had the same problem but i fixed it . just restart your computer (your iphone MUST not connected on the computer ) after that try to delete your back up folder. IT WILL WORKS. after you will delete your back up folder connect your iPhone on the computer and click back up. and it`s ok now . (scuze me my poor inglish)

  • Try search for it. Open my computer click search and try find it. Maybe it's been moved somewhere else.

  • folder contents can not be deleted because it is used by another program. sure you try this while your phone is or has been connected to iTunes. Disconnect the phone, give it a restart the computer (without your phone is connected to USB) and try to delete the contents of the folder BACK UP. you can now. then connect your phone and try to back you up. will go. CHEERS.

  • i dont have this folder...??

  • @bella

    Welcome

  • Omg! Thank You So Very Much! God Bless!

  • Thanks you fixed my problem. Forgot about of doing this. This does work so try it!

  • i have already done it..as per the video..went to C:\user\[username]\App Data\Roaming\Apple computer\MobileSync\Backup deleted the file...but i am getting same error...need help

  • Dude! you are my HERO! :D

  • what worked for me was to click menu and type "%appdata% and the Roaming file should appear

  • i don't have the appdata folder

  • Try search for the actual file. Click on start menu and in search bar enter the folder you are looking for hopefully you should find it. If you can't find the folder maybe your problem is with something else. Hope it helps.

  • I open local disk then I click Documents and setting and it says administrator and my name. I click it and it says Cookies, Desktop, My Documents, Start Menu, and user Data. I click on all of them but I can't find the backup!!! Please Help!!!!

  • Double check tr backup folder make sure it's clear should leave it blank.

The method I shown generally resolves the problem I have used it many times. If still no luck ring apple care they resolved the problem for a mate of mine before he could ask me hope u find the answer

  • Thanks for the video. I deleted my backups and I still get the same error message? Any suggestions?

  • you can also find the appdata file when you click ur username the way you go into your my documents. should be in there too.

    right click my computer

    click explore

    click on your username

and appdata should be there unless you have deleted the folder ??

  • If you can't find appdata the way I told you open start at the bottom and in the search bar type appdata and it should find it. Once you click appdata click

    Roaming

    apple computer

    mobilesync

then this will bring you to the backup file.

Remember to remove all backups from the folder leave it blank. If you don't want to delete the backup files save them on the desktop

  • but i cant find appdata...its not there>>pls help

  • @TheShravanshankar you need to go to folder options > view > hidden files and folders > check show hidden files and folders. hope this helps you ^_^

  • thanks man, it really helped me

    cheers!!!!

  • @Endiabrado20
