I have a Japanese boyfriend, but I met him in Japan, so he is different from an Asian American. I feel like Asian Americans never act interested in me, but in Japan I got tons of compliments from guys and people were always a little sad to hear I already had a boyfriend. I also go to UCSD so the majority of guys here are asian americans, never in three years did I meet one I liked. But I think my attitude had something to do with it too. As an American born Korean, I'm gonna say that you couldn't have said it better. It is all the torment starting at the playground that has sculpted us into the way we act. I kinda understand where the hesitance comes from.I had a friend from school who is originally from korea and his cousin(who also went to college with us) told me that one of the first things his dad told him before he came over (he spends summers in korea but is going to school in america) was to never date a black girl. He really liked this other girl who happened to be black but never did anything about it. Its hard to try when you know the other person will never be accepted by your family.

Haha I always have thought in the opposite way, that asian guys are the smartest people in the world, and we "white chicks" are not that clever. I'm not saying that we're dumb, but we haven't got the same ambitions as asians. As an American born Korean, I'm gonna say that you couldn't have said it better. It is all the torment starting at the playground that has sculpted us into the way we act. I have no problem talking to anyone of any race anymore but it was very difficult to overcome it. Either way, great vlog and i vouch for it as 100% accurate.

I agree with this video. I admit I am guilty of thinking that Asian (or other races in that matter) guys may not be interested in females of a different race than their own. I was into Asian guys before the whole "Asian explosion" thing happened. But I had to realize that even though there's a cultural difference, they should be treated like any other guy. I can't say much because I get all shy and stuff with guys in general, especially if they are attractive (Asian or otherwise). Lol. BW here.

But it really just does seem that they stick to their own race or if they do go outside of their race they go to white women. I see that a lot where I am at. A nice genuine smile is powerful because it stays with you long after the stranger walks off. Now if you're smiling for 5 minute straight...that's just creepy. I think that's that over-doing it. His mom hated me. I forgot to mention I'm Black and Asian (Chinese, Korean). I think once she heard I was black or even part black, she didn't want her son around me. He stood up for me/ our relationship so there are Asian men out there who are willing to go against their parents. Have some hope guys :).

I knew his brother since we went to the same school. And my best friend was Chinese American too. All the Asian moms would talk whenever they happened to meet and since they were FOBs and traditional, they spoke in Chinese (Canto).

And for the record I liked Kpop and Kdramas before this whole Taeyang thing. Until I started watching your videos I didn't even think that some many girls were crazy for him. lol, i really have a thing for asian guys, but from what i've seen it seems like a large majority of asian guys only like asian, white or hispanic girls. most of them have been asked which type of girls they'd date, and none of them mention anything about black girls :/ maybe i should just give up because i think it's pretty clear asian guys don't really like black girls . atleast i tried tho! :)

Its bc in most places asian always end up with asians so people of other races are afraid to approach an asian bc they are scared of rejection. Although i know and understand that asian parents are scrict and want their children to stay in their own race but i just think its unfair..and thats with every race..white people not being able to date black people and vise versa. god created all of us differently yes but im sure that he dont mind if his creations mingle a bit. I kinda understand where the hesitance comes from.I had a friend from school who is originally from korea and his cousin(who also went to college with us) told me that one of the first things his dad told him before he came over (he spends summers in korea but is going to school in america) was to never date a black girl. He really liked this other girl who happened to be black but never did anything about it. Its hard to try when you know the other person will never be accepted by your family.

Haha I always have thought in the opposite way, that asian guys are the smartest people in the world, and we "white chicks" are not that clever. I'm not saying that we're dumb, but we haven't got the same ambitions as asians. That's why I always get so nervous when I see a hot asian guy, especially korean dudes, I think they will only see me as a dumb swede.
