Hurdy-Gurdy is not the original name, the most oringinal name comes from France and it is called 'vielle a roue' or 'wheel fiddle' and in Germany it is called the 'Drehleier' which roughly translates to peasents instrument. They look hard to play but they are not, just have to get the cordination down of turning the crank at a different speed than you are playing the keys. And it is from Northern France (circa 1,100 AD) not Spain. It is a down sized Organistrum. And they are awsome to play.

Almost right. In Germany we say "Drehleier".

"Drehorgel" are those organ pipes with wheels you see very often in Amsterdam or on special medieval markets

But the price i wrote is for the standard model..im sure she has the luxury-model for like 500 euro more.
