um hey ive been checking out some MAC videos and noticed that most dont have icons in the desktop can you have icons on there or not

you can, but the dock is a lot easier, and its not always as small... you can make it bigger

what i do is hide my dock so it only comes up when i bring my pointer to the bottom of the screen, this maximizes screen space and doesnt make you minimize programs to open something new
