In hindsight,heavy rock music had run its course by about the mid/late 80's,their have been plenty of good bands around since this time but it all pretty much of a muchness since then..Zep,Sab,Purple,Halen pretty much wrote the book with Cream and Hendrix supplying the first draft.I was lucky enough to see em all when they mattered,(except Cream+Hendrix)-I saw the Sabs at Birmingham Odeon UK in 1978,support band?(who nobody had heard of)was VH on their first Euro tour-everyone was gobsmacked.
