  • Oh, and by the way, while Ade's results are good, his technique is not! Cheat curls are good, some would say essential for bicep, but this is not how to perform 'cheat curls'. You use body action to bump the curls from the bottom position because it is the hardest phase but you shouldn't carry that body action all the way through the movement...that is how you will place yourself at maximum risk for a herniated disc! Just because he may not have had that injury yet, does not mean it is correct.

  • @123manny321, If your technique gets good results, it is by definition good technique. Period.

  • Getting big without steroids is not impossible. Hypertrophy is hypertrophy no matter what your method. Steroids speed up the rate of protein synthesis (P-S), it does not increase a muscle fibres capacity for size. With minimal P-S, on a long enough timeline, you can continually gain size in the muscle. Natural BB takes longer because of the relatively low rate of P-S. Steroids increase GROWTH SPEED not GROWTH POTENTIAL.

  • holy crap, he's heading down spine snap alley! If he keeps up this bad form he's gonna need a steel pole for a back. Don't get me wrong, he's friggen huge and thats probably whats keeping him from totaly screwing up his lower back for now but that'll only work for so long. Good form with zero back arch and controlled contraction is always better than swinging the weight. and bending your back to get the weight up works, but it's way too risky. Huge guy though. Kick ass build.

  • Most good bodybuilders understand cheating has it place to promote muscle hypertrophy, when using extremely heavy weights. Did you see how friggin big those dumbbells were.

    Bottomline, the point of lifting weights is to gain muscle and strength. Nobody can dispute that Ade has achieved superior muscularity and strength. I remember some nosey personal trainer at Crunch, had came over after I had done my perfect form sets already talking about "you're doing that wrong" with his weak physique.

  • BE is when you use too much momentum and swing the upper body in order to get the weight up, instead of using a stiff upper body and lifting the weight with your arms only, which is the proper form.
