  • This movie has the only made interpretation of the relationship between the Nationalist and Republican Spanish forces.

  • 1:47 *poker face*

  • i had no clue that he was two charters

  • Wow, this guy was paleman? In real life, he's pretty attractive :P

  • amazing movie. The girl's stepdad scared the hell outta me...

  • This movie was amazing. Although... I can honestly say that I think I spent half of it cussing out the captain...Jackass...

  • Doug Jones is to Guillermo Del Toro what Johnny Depp is to Tim Burton.

    CLASSIC match ups.

  • Loved Dougy as Abe in Hellboy. I can not believe he's as old as he is and looks that great.

  • Can you believe that he's over 45 years old in this video???

  • i like 1:46

  • DOUG JONES? is he from Candyshop? by whitestone motion pictures?

  • This man is a sexy motherfucker and his roles are fucking sexy and everything about him is orgasmic. Okay.

  • @AndroidAllosaur TRUTH.

  • This guy is a fucking weirdo.

  • this is so fuckked up becuzz this was my fave movie when i was small i loved it now idk why i did

  • Is Doug Jones not INCREDIBLE!?!?!? I think my FAVORITE of his roles is still Abe, in Hellboy, but ALL his work is so fluid and graceful and dignified....His amazing.

  • i see this movie once and i will never see it again..the paleman give me nightmares he's fucking scary that i shit in my pans!!!

  • why is the movie spanishh??

  • @b0sweet because it was made in spain. by spaniards... so yeah

  • @chillinwitdavillin yeah but the actors are english

    arent they??

  • @b0sweet actually you are mistaken... most of the actors are from spain... Ivana Baquero who plays Ofelia, is Spanish... and the movie was filmed in spanish speaking countries.. dont believe me.. go to the the internet movie data base,, imdb.com and put Pans Labyrinth and you'll see for yourself...

  • @chillinwitdavillin *made in Spain, by a Mexican

  • @JAM3SD33ZY thanks for correcting me :D

  • ScArY!!

  • We meet again 240p

  • okay if his american why the hell could i only watch this flim in spainish :L

  • The best thing i like about this movie is how the fantasy part isn't really the horror part. Horror part of the movie can only be found in the 'real world' parts of it.

  • @MrVordas

Yeh Yeh seeing elfes eaten too shreds is not horror at all!

i got no idea who voted your comment up but god dammit!

  • @MPOEO Killing some kid by smashing his face with a gun then shooting his father in the face is not horror at all....you go see a doctor real fast about that.

  • @MPOEO What he means is, at the end of the day the Pale Man eating the fairies can't actually happpen. It's make believe. While the atrocities that the Captain committed can, have and will happen.

  • @CorporalHicks8

You do not have 2 log in too another account mate,

i know the fairies aren`t eaten or anything but it does not change the fact that its horror man.

  • hola, alguien me puede decir como se llama la melodia al principio del video? gracias

  • @MrAdrian458 se llama "Pan's Labyrinth Lullaby"

  • Did anyone pay attention to his amazing bilingual skills? Plus he talks monster too!

  • @Skoshtwo i think his voice was redubbed. he still had to learn the dialogue in spanish though

  • It would be cool if they put the paleman in the next silenthill game at least as a cameo appearance. It has that freaky feel.

  • I remember crying and not sleeping for six days after seeing the paleman... I was 16 fml

  • @IJustMadeYouLose

please is not that scarry, have you seen the japanese version of the ring... you will freack outh for real

  • @memofly29 that version is shit, tbh. the remake was actually good surprisingly.

  • @memofly29 yes the japanese version of the ring is reaaaally scary

  • @IJustMadeYouLose I'm 16 and I laughed at that scene. =P

  • @IJustMadeYouLose hahahahahahahahahaha i first saw this piece of crap at the age of 10 and i didnt got scared but i cried when the girl died

  • still epic.

  • Nice:)

  • Unbelievable how they can make people look like that o.o

  • He makes a nice sound effect

  • es de mi pais

  • that just looks freaky real

  • beutifull movie i cry all the time

  • wow he doesnt sound hispanic at all here

  • ぺイルマン未だにトラウマです(笑)

  • I want to do his job

  • Pan in mythology was actually a pedophile. Its weird they would make him friends with a little girl.

  • @gadgetmanjay The director has stated that this isn't the mythological Pan. In fact, his name is never actually given as Pan in the film. He's just known as The Faun. The English version of the movie is just titled Pan's Labyrinth (instead of The Labyrinth of the Faun) for some strange reason.

  • Trick or Treat!

  • One thing about this movie is....I think that Monster should grab the eyes and put them on his face instead of his hands - -

  • @Chanyabon They pale man is based off of an old story, they didn't want to just change everything.

  • @Rapta6 Oh...I didn't know this before. Thx :)

  • @Chanyabon =]

  • the creature with the hands in it's eyes also appears in Hellboy :S

    wtf!?!?!?!? :P

  • Satanic. Fact: Pan means god. This pan refers to Satan. These people are satanic and probably 90% of people in Hollywood are. Look up the meaning of Hollywood. This stuff is not a joke it is real. And so is God the real one.

  • @MRBLACKPEARL04 haha xD it's conspiracy you idiot :P fuck religion, get yourself a brain...

anyways, who's the best character; God or Lucifer?

Personally I'm an atheist but, I want to know YOUR opinion...

  • @MRBLACKPEARL04 Lol ur retarded n00b

  • The pale man who ate faeries haunted my dreams for a week ... but after watching this i feel better :D

  • Pale Man For President!!!

  • He looks a bit like Micheal Jackson...

  • wow pale man's really hot.

  • With CGI you never get to see the creatures walking around off set and interacting with the director. That was always my favorite part of the special features for films like these...

  • pan isssss satan in reality...

  • @lemonlimelukey pan is pan, he isn't christian.

  • @SixtailShadow lol never said he was, just said he was satan, and even if he wasnt he was a demon of some sort on the inside and yea blah blah god of nature and all that bullshit but god pretty much gave lucifer earth to rule over, he controls almost everything. and i mean hes fuckin lucifer, hes old and smart as fuck and can lie out of his ass like its nothing. hes probly had so many identities in history. i jus know pan isnt just some faun thats good and nice. hes a liar and trickster

  • OMG!! hes actually kinda cute...

  • paleman was scary as shit!

  • Me encanta la pelicula ♥

  • Did anyone else think that the faun was a bad guy in the beginning? And did anyone else think that the faun was creepier than the pale man?

  • i love this movie and all the characters :) there should be a second part

  • I met Doug at a comic convention in Monterrey México, and he is a very charming talented and sweet guy, I love him

  • That movie gave me nightmares, and the word "organic" is way over used by actors and musicians these days.

  • Fudgepacker has more makeup on during the interview

  • It's so odd watching the faun and Guillermo have a little chat.

  • @jeremyrules2 DON'T INSULT THEM JUST LOOK IN THE MIRROR

  • but isnt the movie in english

  • Damn! He's actually hawt O_O

  • is this the guy that playes Abe in hellboy too ?

  • @Onlex Doug Jones, yes. In HB, he plays Abe Sapien, but he doesn't do the voice. In HB: Animated, he does Abe's voice, and in HB2: The Golden Army, he plays Abe (voice too), the Chamberlain and The Angel of Death. Big fan ~

  • @jeremyrules2 So do you enjoy being a douche or do you do it without realizing it?

  • Guillermo del Toro has a great sense of imagination creativity and actors!!!!!

  • if i was the little girl and it was walking to me, just be all *high five!*

  • @darkmania1000 No you wouldn't I'm sure you would shit your pants.

  • whats the movie call ?>

  • @GCM22228 pan's labyrinth.. I guess

  • you're ugly.

  • :)) super :D

  • i feel somehow better knowing the pale man is in fact quite a nice chap.

  • @kimj0123 Doug Jones is a nice chap. The pale man will come for you when you sleep

  • @Thenybo i'll offer him something to drink

  • @kimj0123 Hmmm he does look kinda dehydrated with all that saggy skin

  • @kimj0123 Doug Jones :P

  • esse mostro branquelo me

    asusta

  • The pale man was still pretty creepy, but I had been expecting him to be a lot scarier. My friends have a bad habit of really hyping up movies before showing them to me. :P

  • Doug Jones is perfect for such films.:D

  • that PALE MAN scared me Shitless. lol

  • that Pale man made me laugh, not scary at all

  • i absolutely love this movie! the music and the special effects are so beautiful too!

  • i watched this movie when i was smaller once.it was not that scary

  • @gadycr2329 Lol, when you were smaller? This movie is only 5 years old!

  • @nuismer1234 Not that any special effects are expensive :/ that's why there's so little "fantasy" movies compared to those others.

  • omg i hate the pale man!! my dad was watching this when i was like 5 and i saw the part were the pale man ate the fairys ugh!!

  • @NeonCupcake121 so... you're 10?

  • @sonicmariogurl I was gonna ask the same thing...

  • @NeonCupcake121

    Good parenting =)

  • @NeonCupcake121 lol your 10! :D

  • Oh God just think what would happen if this guy walked out in the city at night in pale man's outfit

  • pale man made me think that if i ate from the table that he would come out and kill me so i'd eat on the floor for a few days XD

  • Doug Jones, the Boris Karloff of the modern day

  • @Asderuki well ya unless the computer generated ones are done super well... but that goes both ways

  • this guy ( dug jones ) is the "fishman" from hellboy, he is great whem he is making a monster or something in the movie.

  • @Asderuki Check out Dog soldiers, no CGI best looking werewolves since the Howling

  • the pan reminds me of Yoda while the monster reminds me of Voldemort

  • Pale man reminds me of something from silent hill. Amazing character design!

  • I watched this movie alone at night once and when it came to the Pale Man part I made sure that none of my floor boards could move and that there was no door outline of chalk on my walls.

  • Monst looks like Lady Gaga

  • @84heroes1 Oh, ok my bad, sorry. I guess it is my habit, still you really didn't need to point it so much. Besides putting colon after that phraze made it more to stand out. It was more visible for others as I wanted. You know how many meesages get lost due to not being noticed by anyone. I wanted mine not to be lost in hundreds of others messages. Regardless you approve it or not, it was written and I kinda can't change it :D

  • original is in spanish

  • 2:14 LMFAO

  • Isn't this movie really scary

  • Isn't the whole movie in spanish or do they have it in english, or is it just american subtitles.

  • @bamarantes just subtitles(and believe me a movie is never as good as the original if you double the voices. ex:poorly doubled japanese anime.)

  • lol... he was actually called "pale man"... :D

  • We watched this in my Film Studies class and I'm so glad we did! I know it sounds corny, but 'magical' is truly the only word I can think of to describe it!

  • EL FAUNO ES EL MEJOR!

  • @Asderuki The best example for your hypothesis is AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON VS AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN Paris.. The transformation scenes in werewolf in LONDON were THE BEST EVER.. Sadly, In the Sequel they used COMPUTERS and the "Werewolves" were LAME to the EXTREME.. Maybe in the future, Computers will IMPROVE..

  • @communistjesus I'm afraid I saw only that one in paris XD It was long time ago and I didn't know what I was wathing (besided it was about wherewolfs). But true wherewolfs weren't the pritiest ones ^^

  • @Asderuki it feels more real, but they're getting way better at cgi now. District 9 had pretty realistic cg i think.

  • this is freaking creepy O_O

  • why is it called this, if this video has nothng to do with the labyrinth??

  • @Hermione1983 ??????????? english? how does this have nothing to do with pans labyrinth

  • @Hermione1983 Think of it like this. The Labyrinth iself belongs to Pan (the Faun) It represents the journey of Ofelia (Princess Moanna) to reclaim her lost kingdom. Labyrinths are mazes with trick and turns and puzzles. That is exactly what Ofelia's journey was full of. It's where she (Princess Moanna) escaped from *Not nececarily the same labyrinth* and where she must return to. That's just my view though! :)

  • El actor parese joto

  • Wow,he had to deal with ridiculous challenges with his acting impressive

  • My god, the pale man is so freaking scary, wow,so so scary

  • @Asderuki And much more fun to do as well...

  • wow. this looks like a freaky film but i REALLY wanna see it!

  • @cold197 Actually it's not really scary. A lot of fantastic, and dark things, making your heart beats fast! I'm sure you'll love it =)

  • This is my favourite movie ever!! :D i love this!!

the faun, the pale man, the girl EVERYTHING!!! the actors and actresses were brilliant! and the story was so amazing, when i saw it, it was like i was in the film XD

    LOVE IT!!!! ;D

  • The ability to act with nothing but your body is truly amazing.

  • Ugh, Doug Jones is just too awesome.

  • he's a very awesome actor! Now that's what I call "acting"! ;)

  • @Asderuki So true, so much more complexity, and randomness, litteralmy impossible to get from a computer by it's own definition!

  • the fact that they went for costumes and makeup instead of animated is just amazing. and they did an incredible job.

  • most amazing makeup costumes ever in this movie.

  • @Silverpaw53211 Made in Barcelona (Catalonia). Visca Catalunya!!

  • awesome interview. great actor.

  • @Asderuki you are awesome for saying that :)

    so true

  • @Asderuki actually the costume had green screen part as you can see, but well you're right, as they0re not completely made up they look so better...

  • @Gimblyz Of course I'm not saying there wasn't any computer touch in that movie, but sitl most was hand made :)

  • 1:11 scared the living daylights out of me no kidding what happens please explain

  • @catzz6 haha scared me aswell :L basically, the girl has to do a task, she has to go down to this chamber and in the chamber she has to find a key, but SHE CANT EAT ANYTHING, as there is lots of food on a table that looks tempting! because she eats the food on the table, that thing comes alive but its eyes are on its hands :| and the only way she can get in and out is by drawing a door with chalk, which she does and gets out JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME. x

  • brill film, I Did get nightmares about the eye and hand thingy.

  • @GodessOfTheForest Me too :P In fact, I got nightmares even before I saw the film. A friend told me about this monster and even from that I got nightmares

  • Both the Pan and the Pale Man were beautifully original! Definitely one of my favorite movies for not only fantasy but for a taste of history as well!

  • 1339...woot so orginal

  • 1338 ruined it ;)

  • good s**t man hahaha!

  • Doug Jones is such an incredible actor, he really does such an amazing job doing whichever character with whatever prosthetics Guillermo throws at him. I can't imagine anyone else as Abe Sapien!

  • wtf, the actors arn't spanish?

  • @Superchickenman159 They are all Spanish, except for the monsters this guy played.

  • @rvggarcon so the faun was all voice acted? wow... thats some damn good voice acting

  • seriously. If I was told not to eat anything I wouldnt eat it in the first place but then seeing him FUCK NO I WOULDNT TOUCH ANYTHING
