The chorus is what really hits me because my boyfriend and I have a great relationship- God put us together, and we know that we're going to spend the rest of our lives together, but we're not going to be able to get married for another 4 or 5 years cuz I'm just starting college and he has two years of high school left, so every time I have to leave him to go home, it sucks. So, I never want to say goodbye or hear him say it...yeah. Great song, John- well done.
i remember when i moved school & country my gf came up to me and hugged me real tight and said i dont wanna let you go because if i do i'll lose you forever..she said it to me as this song was playing at my party..it was emotional..and this song is just awesome =D
it relates to many people in many ways like your friend and im sorry about their death but you're right you will see them in heaven. this song relates to me because i went on a german exchange and there was someone who i really got along with and we came to be quite good friends then they had to go back to germany and it was emotional but now i have to wait years until i can see her again and i sill feel emotional and this song just brings back the good memories
ya my friend that ive nown since like 3rd grade well shes moving in august but she will come every summer for a few weeks then go to her dads but we are really close we are like sisters with a diffrant last name same with my other friend but hes not moving hes mean thogh lol.
