i too also call bluff on the 5.4 unless you cut out the firewall and had a quater of your engine in your dahs there is now way that's a 5.4 i would love to see the markeings on that engine to state that's its a 5.4. 4.6L yes 5.4 no.
The entire firewall was cut and moved back. That is why you see the under dash A/C like the aftermarket kits of yesteryear; there was no room for it in its original location. The area from the floor boards right at the front seat all the way up the dash was cut and re-worked. The transmission used was an AOD that had have a bell housing welded to fit the 5.4, which came from a 2002 Navigator.
Yes way guy. I picked the engine up from San Diego in 2003. The firewall had to be cut and pushed back and reassembled. The Bronco II has A/C and all the original accessories reinstalled. The gentleman who built this vehicle passed away on November 23, 2010; He was 75. It had a single 4" exhaust was made from a driveshaft cut into pie shapes and re-welded to make the turns.
@Sniper2DaFace yes you could put a nav motor in it my dad has an 87 bronco ll with a 302 mustang motor in it its huge but all he had to do was push the fire wall back and cut a bit into the frame for the headers to clear
Holy $#!T dude, talk about something ya wana put away for your eyes only! Not bad, Im surprised he didnt have to set the front fenders farther apart though. Did he not do any cutting on the inside of the fenders to make room. Looks like there was plenty of room on the passenger side, but the drivers side seems a little crammed. Whats the next step in upgrading this Bronco Beast? Look up Bronco Boggers on facebook dude. Id love to have yall & the BII as part of the group.

It takes someone with an IQ of at least 70 to realize how much work this swap would take. Given the dimensions of the 5.4l overhead cam ford engine. You would have to move the firewall back relocate the radiator support, custom lower engine mounts, rewire the bronco, etc. etc. etc. Too many man hours in fabrication and research to count! An amazing job!

WOW a car with an engine vrooom vrooom, lets all stand around and listen to the engine go vrooom. Is this so your friend can go break O. J. out of jail?
@JRteam14 Seems like this got you excited there little Skippy. Unfortunately OJ is out loose like you & we are all sad about that! AS alejandr 76 stated, "It takes someone with an IQ of at least 70 to realize how much work this swap would take. Given the dimensions of the 5.4l overhead cam ford engine." Unfortunately JRteam has to borrow points to get to an IQ of 10....Consider yourself NULL & VOID. Nice job on the Bronco!!

There is no way that those would fit in that Bruno with that motor being out of an 02 navigator which has 4v heads. NO SIR!

I just don't think that's a 5.4 , it would be like dropping a 460 in it .

How hard was the swap? I hate the fact of swapping an engine with a lot of electronics to wire up.
