Why I bowed my head and bid a sad farewell to the Goth subculture. I would be classified as old school, esoteric, and romantic. My roots lay deep in the 80's old school goth...when it was something to be treasured and admired. Now any fake poser wannabe can go to hot topic at the mall and look goth! Sad the way Goth mutated from what it used to be to this plastic japanese bullshit. I will always be a Goth..a nostalgic one. Mutants have destroyed our beautiful creation. Now it's SHIT. How sad..

@hopeswings007 I have to respectfully disagree. Coming from the 80's punk scene, I always looked upon the early goth's as more of an aesthetic thing. Namely people who like victorian style, I never saw them as looking agressive. Later the cybercowboy look got linked with goth in the mainstream, but they were really two separate trends. Then the whole vampire and fetish thing got linked with goth so that now there are so many branchs that it's hard to keep track.
