@conebread58 Actually, i think its the other way round, as John released Stay With You in December 2004 with the Get Lifted album, and Tarrus released his version in 2006 on his Parables album.

But considering Tarrus has been going for so long its a possibility that he wrote it many years ago and John sampled that.

Actually, this recording is my favorite of all of Legend's stuff.

The album is "Solo Sessions Vol. 1: Live at the Knitting Factory" and although this is the best track on it IMHO, the rest of the album is almost as amazing.

The album's a couple years old, but I didn't have too much trouble ordering it online for around $11 or so ($14 with shipping).
