All Murtagh's talk about Riggs killing people doesn't make a lot of sense at this point. The pool guy is the first and only person Riggs has killed in Murtaugh's presence. Murtaugh mentions looking through Riggs's file, which would naturally list quite a few "kills", but from the way Murtaugh continues to bring it up, you would think Riggs has already offed a few guys after being partnered with Murtaugh.

I will never understand how bad guys always have chance to shot first and they miss, sometimes they fire 2 or 3 bullets but no, they can't wound or kill good guys. Then good guys shot back and they wound or kill them from first shot. It's in 90 % action movies!

I think the guy who went into the pool was also one of the two drug dealers Riggs killed earlier in the movie in the undercover drug buy scene on the Christmas tree lot. That one is posted as well. You can get a good look at his face here at 2:15. Check out the two vids and see if its the same dude.
