What a move! Tebo made a real sweet pass on Cav on the table top too! I hear a lot of bad stuff about the Ryan's and I'm starting to believe it. That was a flat out take-out move there. Tebo's the main man right now if only for being the most sporting driver on the track.....
I'm not sure exactly what motor any specific driver was using, but I know many of them were in the 5.5 - 8.5 range in mod buggy. Most were using lipo, but some used NIMH cells for handling reasons.
@kelkreations We have found that most non professional drivers would probably be fastest with a 13.5 or so. Very few drivers have the skill to take full advantage of a true mod motor in a buggy!
Some of the popular brands of speedos/motors in the pro classes are Novak, Tekin, SpeedPassion, LRP, and Trinity . I'm sure I've left out some other good ones! Its a great time to be into RC racing. The gear has never been this good and affordable. Even though brushless seems expensive at first it is very maintenance free and the motors last a LONG time. Same with LIPO batteries.
Get a setup from one of the major manufacturers, gear it so it runs cool, and it will last nearly forever.

ya it was prolly the most unsportsman like thing ive ever seen in my 8 years of racing rc cars. and after that race they docked maifield 5 seconds and he told the roar officials they are a fucking joke. i do run kyosho stuff now but that kind of makes me not wanna run aessociated stuff

i have rc10b4.1 and i was wondering if anyone knew the battery, motor, esc, set up ect... of Maifields or Tebos buggies that i can use for mine
