yeah, i believe this contest is for fun, but your relaxed rules could be taken in the wrong way by some guys, and thats makes nerves in high voltage..lol..

Nothing fake about the run or the video. All was done per the guidelines.

"Make sure to use the same car and track, keep it to one lap per video, and however you choose to record it, make sure your final time is clearly readable."

The only thing edited out of the vid was the interior shots. My discretion.

lets make a straight rules for this challenge..

the recorded game should be and only using 1 cam in full lap, it can be hood, cockpit, chase, but not TV cam, either replays or in race...

or we'll see some "I'll do anything to win" dudes make a lap time like this (see my latest response or go to my channel), i made this with only simple basic vid editing..and if it happen next week, your contest will not fun anymore..

Okay, I agree. While I hoped it wouldn't come to this, if putting in some hard rules will help make the weekly challenges fair, then that's what needs to be done.

This week's upcoming challenge will be done with new rules that will be clearly stated in hopes of making it as fair for everyone as possible.

My intention for having "relaxed" rules was simply to have as many people participate to increase the fun, but I don't want to make it unfair, so thank you for bringing this to my attention!

It makes no sense with no specific set of upgrades and handling mode stated.

Moreso when your own blog says things like "my time has had 35 seconds knocked off!" when that is trivial given that you used a stock car.

In fact, it's insulting to our intelligence to be frank.

The net result, the competition is really a waste of time ..which appears to have been your goal, albeit you use different wording.

After the patch, any chance of another real contest running alongside this one - pro mode?

Not that I know, but once I downloaded FRAPS I didn't really check for any other programs. There might be, though. Have a look on Google. You can always use a webcam or digital camera. Quality doesn't really matter as long as we can tell it's the same car and track and the time is clearly visible :)

@ NeedForSpeed Oh man! What a bad luck for me. My VGA card got upset last night. I'm using the machine using my on board VGA now. I love Toyota's. Too bad I can't participate on this week challenge. I'm trying to repair it. Let's hope It'll not take much time.

Well, you can upgrade the cars and make them a lot better in their performance. But the car that was chosen by the winner of the fastest lap from Week 4. He won, so he got the choice :)

If you want to race the newer cars, then piece together the fastest lap and then you're the controller of your own destiny!

(Something tells me that last line was SUPER cheesy... =P )
