I used to have a white german shepard named Jake. I loved him so much, but he died a couple years back. We have one now and his name is Duke and he's 10 months old. I love dogs.

It's so adorable, my dog does it as well. She hates flies, if you do the buzzing sound she comes running and barking like crazy. :P

We had a Doberman who hated flies as well but he only hated them because they kept landing on him. He was a huge dog lol it was so funny when he got angry at the flies. Was a really warm summer so they kept landing on you all the time.

I love the tufts of white fur under his ears. It makes him look like a Renaissance dog.

Jake is doing exactly the same as my own shepherd does in our garden, she runs around for a few minutes when she arrives home and we think that she is marking her territory and letting the other dogs in the vicinity know that she is home

My shepherd is possessed when there is a fly in the house. He is at total attention and never looks better than he does when comsumed with ridding the house of a fly intruder.

No my dog does not bite people.

Any dog entering Ireland coming from a high risk rabies country enters quarantine for a period of 6 months.

@michelleans it seems reasonable enough. we had a big scare when uma was bitten. turns out that worthless mutt was just old and mean. i don't hate boxers but the breed is normally skiddish and aggressive. my poor little beagle. the only problems shes had since was a bad back.

thats what u call a bark....lol my GSD barks for a reason only...and he barks for like 2-3 times then all those puddles in the neighborhood bark for another 30 minutes after him lol :)

Beautiful dog! I used to have a German Shepherd called Raven ( the best dog ever) and she could spend hours like yours, just sitting there catching flies!!! Your vid reminds me of her so much. xxx

Wow your german shepherd is very similar to mine both by looks and personality trait. He too is a long hair shepherd. Even having the same name generally having the obsessive habit of nipping straying insects, perhaps an only difference is that mine has a lighter black mask around the muzzle. Of course mine also needs to gain a little, I can feel both his vertebrae and and rib cage with slight brush of my finger. When I adopted him at 2 years old from the rescue they found him that way. Any tips
