My all-time favorite guitarist, bar none. The tone, the emotion. Not as fast at Winter, or Lee, or many others, not as crazy good as Hendrix, but the best still for me. Only saw him for a full concert one time, Flag at Winterland opening for BB King, and my god, he was great. Zinedine05 is a prince for doing this.

I know there is a lot of simiarity in blues - but this could also be Gravenites composition entitled Gypsy Good Time. Nick and Michael do a masterful version on Nick's solo album My Labors. Live at the Filmore, I think?

Actually i liked this band a lot! ... because of Mark Doubleday....my hero when i was coming up. Mark could play the shit out of the trumpet....as good or better than cats like Blue Mitchell....and it's too bad he did not get more room to blow...he takes a great harmon mute solo on one their albums and takes it to a whole new level of artistry for that band. A lot of their hits were just groove oriented dance numbers with horns relegated to the blip blap diddle dit job...a thankless task!
