I'm leaving to London on Sunday and this is one of my many stops. I've wanted to see Shakespeare's home for son long, it's a dream come true form me thank you for posting this.
I live about 15 miles to the south of Stratford-upon-Avon, it's basically the nearest large town to me - lovely place, but too many tourists especially today, I won't be going again on a Saturday during the summer holiday's as it's just too busy.
been here once and now i can't wait to go back.. probably the most amazing place in England that i've seen so far... i hate living in yorkshire now :( lol
the place is surrounded by tourists, everytime I go there to my mate's.... full of them!!! lol You can always spot the toursists haha Love the music, from the classis film "Shakeapeare In Love" =D x
God, even the town he grew up has a name perfect for English poetry. Stratford-Upon-Avon. I guess one hyphen wasn't enough for one of the greatest playwrights in the Western civilization.
My mum lived near stratford and my grandad used to take her to visit the villages round stratford when she was young. She said the whole area is beautiful and still has many lovely elizabethan buildings. That must have been the time when this area really flourished.
The houses that stand here date back to Shakespeare's times-even the streets that date back to the 1500 and 1600's- It is a fascinating place filled with history- I love to wander in and out of all the little bookshops and I watched Romeo and Juliet in the Stratford Theatre- it was unforgettable!!
My relatives used to live in Welford-Upon-Avon the quaintest little village with chocolate box houses!!That lies just alongside Stratford-upon-Avon
I am Spanish and I have been living in England for 7 months. In my opinion Stratford upon Avon is the nicest place I have seen on that country. It is just my opinion :)
What struck me the most about my visit to Shakespeare's birthplace was that all of the ceilings and doorways were low. You had to duck your head when moving around inside.
i live in a placed called Stratford upon Avon. But its in Ontario Canada. I think my city was made to imitate the REAL stratford. Its strange how similar the two are.
eyy so nice to meet another warwick student here :) and what a lovely video!!..... it has seduced me to go to stratford with my hubby next sunday!! can you suggest us where to go and what to do while we're there?..... also do you think its better for us to join a guided walking tour.... or just to pop into the local tourist information centre and ask for directions, local attractions, etc.? thank youuu xx

Wonderfully done! That movie is a favorite of mine, and this video is enough to give one an overwhelming urge to take the first plane over there to see it in person!
thanks for your comment. well, Warwick has a vast beautiful countryside campus with lots of open fields with grass, trees and rivers and foxes, so it is very convinient to live on campus, hope you can pay a visit there, and you will love it!

Stratford-upon-Avon is an impressive town, however in this video i'd prefer to see Shakespeare's grave rather than horde of ducks. Thanks anyway...
