Yes it is. At the time of this video, the FPS was about 360 or something.

Mine is now 465 FPS on .20g BB's and 400 on .30g BB's.

I bought it from Zero One airsoft in the UK. Range is about 50 meters accurately. Scope came with it.

In this video, only a 160% spring. My gun as it is now, not shown in this video, has:

Systema 200% spring

Systema full tune up kit for the gearbox (minus the motor)

Custom 10.8v battery

Where do you get a custom battery like that? I bought a pre-upgraded PSG-1 and it has a Systema FTK in it, and I dont think a regular mini battery would be able to run it...

The battery I had on it for this video was a large 4400 mAh 9.6v battery, just velcro'd onto the side. I don't have it now. I have a custom made 10.8v double stick battery in the stock.

how accurate your gun is? cuz i upgraded my m15a4 recently. i have guarder bore-up cylinder set, KA M120 and prometheus psg barrel inside but accuracy seems ridiculous to me. i just want to know if i have done something wrong or i'll just have to adjust it a bit...

Most likely your hop-up is incorrectly set. Make sure it's all set up right :) Try a Marui hop-up unit to make it the best.

yah i think i fixed the hopup but anyway my gearbox had jammed, lol. hopefully it's fixed now but i gotta buy a new safety-fuse... thanks for advice anyway.

When you say that your gearbox jammed, what do you mean exactly? Like the gears were stripped or...? My gearbox jammed on my M4 also, I just don't what exactly happened and how to fix it.

whole mechanism just refused to work. gears didn't move at all. friend of mine told me that i obviously didn't put enough grease on the gears and oil on the piston. so i've put a bit more of those and it works perfectly now.

Well with .30g's, which is the usual sniper rifle weight ammo and a 160% power spring you'll get about 360.

Since its a strictlly semi auto gun what fps do you get with a 160 spring Im guessing aorund the 450-500 area with out the tightbore?

A 160% spring? Shooting on .20g BB's would give you approximately 410 FPS I imagine.

My PSG-1 now has a 200% spring in it, a full systema gearbox, tightbore barrel and a custom 10.8v battery. It shoots at 405 FPS on .30g BB's and 465 FPS on .20g's.

Thanks man :) Mine was £280 brand new. In my country (the UK), we have to have something called a UKARA license to be able to buy these RIF's (replica imitation firearms, anything that looks like a real gun), so we can't buy the guns off eBay anymore.

Just a little warning though, if you intend to upgrade it like mine (you'll need to in order to get good FPS and distance from this sniper rifle), you're gonna need some good money and alot of time to upgrade it. It's very fiddley.

Well in this video all it has is a 160% power spring. Since then I've put in a 200% power spring, Systema gearbox, tightbore barrel and custom made and fitted 10.8v battery. It totalled up to about £100 for those parts seeing as the gearbox was off a friend. The time it took? Well it's still not completely finished now. I gotta set the hop up right, increase the power a bit more and make sure it's shooting well.

About the upgrades, here in America, you can't have an Airsoft over 500fps i believe, does that same law apply in the UK?

For single shot sniper rifles, we're allowed 500 FPS. For AEG's, it's 350.

Nah, a metal body is expensive, increases the weight and doesn't upgrade it much. Only for people who're afraid they might damage their gun.

Nice video man, My TM PSG-1 is messed up right now It doesn't fire anymore, At first it sounded slower and slower until it didn't wanted to shot anymore. Any Ideas? ans what upgrades would be best? Cause i don't wanna fix it with a stock part if i can upgrade it, you know?

Yeah sure thing :)

#1 - Battery. If it sounds slow then the battery is probobly running out. If that's not it then:

#2 - Gearbox. The teeth on the gears inside may have worn away. Look on YouTube for a video of the disassembly and find out how to get into the gearbox, then check.

#3 - Motor. If your battery is charged, the gearbox is working and there's no noise, then the motor may have burned out.

#4 - Wiring. Maybe the wires have frayed and there's no current being supplied to the motor.

Check all those things, if none of those are the problem get back to me again and I'll check it out.

As for upgrades? Well if your gun is stock, I recommend (in this order):

#1 - Systema full tune up kit. The PSG-1 has crap FPS when it's stock, power is a must. To accomodate this new power, new stronger gears and parts will be needed. Plastic will wear away too quick.

#2 - 10.8v battery. A 9.6v wont turn the motor strong enough with new power springs.

#3 - 200% or 300% power spring

Thanks, I dont think its the battery cause its working fine, Must be the wiring or the motor. This is my 2nd psg-1 the first one had the same problem 2 days after i bought it and they just exchanged it without telling me what was wrong with it when it was still under the 60 day warranty. and the 2nd one got messed up 3 months later. Only used it 5 times

Nothing beats a Marui. You should put in a PDI 6.01 Tightbore, that would probably double its accuracy.
