  • DemonHunter: The Skillet of metal. But plenty of people like Skillet. So that's okay. Jussayin.

  • Comment removed

  • Heavy Metal and some Hard Rock

like Skillet is Hard Rock, but Demon Hunter is more Heavy metal

Anyway it goes, they're some friggn awesome bands!

  • @underfan15 and @KendraPEDOBEAR you are both wrong okay, as I lay dying do not consider themselved christian, but some of their song are from christian perspectives, ect. They are neither "very far off from christian", or "very christian".

  • Besides AILD and Underoath.. They all sound the same. Skillet and Demon Hunter are all right.

  • Really dude as i lay down is not christian

  • Is this even christian song lol!!??

  • as i lay dying is not christian at all

  • @KendraPEDOBEAR yea they r, they're very christian

  • @underfan15 no they arent. look them up. they are no where near

  • @KendraPEDOBEAR Look them up? I've listened to them for years and read and seen inteviews with them. They are Christian.

  • @KendraPEDOBEAR They're Christian. All of them.

  • @KendraPEDOBEAR dude... are you mentally retarded?? theyre christian.

  • if your worshiping god, and singing music dedicated to him, it doesnt matter if others like it or not, its your unique way of showing your praise. im a big catholic and love screamo, its how i get my "jesus high", stop judging

  • get saved before Jesus appears...it's gonna be hard times after He takes His church outta here. confess your sins to Jesus Christ and ask Him to forgive you...if you're serious He will. get into a church that teaches the ministry of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. get baptized and seek the baptism of the Holy Ghost. i did this in 1976, and i still keep my mind on Jesus and He gives me peace. remember Jesus is God!!! and He loves you and want to save you. great post.

  • AH! im scared

  • i dont really think thats gonna please GOD,,those voice sounds like satanic rock band...i cant believe thats christian songs...it makes me wonder how some christians like it...its sounds creepy, honestly!

  • @mershmorshmenn so it doesn't please God, if it doesn't please you? You know God's musical tastes? I think he just cares about the meaning behind the music. So what if they sound similar to satanic rock bands? it is the lyrics that matter. It is even more like a slap in the face to Satan, using music originally purposed for evil for good. ahhhgg so much for not arguing on youtube lol. It doesnt sound creepy to the people who like it.

  • STOP JUDGING CHRISTIAN METAL AND HARD ROCK!!!! HOW THE HELL MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU DAMN CLOSED MINDED CHRISTIANS THIS? YOU SO CALLED CHRISTIANS ARE REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!! I'M ALSO SICK OF ATHIESTS TRASHING THIS TOO!!

  • demon hunter needs to b number one

have u heard the songs collapsing, fading away

they are the best songs ever

  • What the hell...? Why is Stitches in here? Needles is from the same album and is way better.

  • bro, this is screamo...not hard rock!

  • @spitoutblood I love Petra!!!

  • Underoath has an AMAZING drummer.

  • Most of theas bands are metal bands, not hard rock bands. Im just saying :)

  • esto no es hardcore es basura 8-) 0k no pero la mayoria no es hardcore

    solo uno fue hardcore -___-

  • @Nuttfair your a lost and confused boy arn't you?

  • It's called metal or emo-metal dude.

  • this ain't hard rock sorry chief - prolly more like death metal

  • @Nuttfair If God gave us everything we wanted, then it would be completely obvious that he's there, which is exactly what He doesn't want. He wants us to believe and have faith that He's there. As much as he wants everybody to know Him, He doesn't want everybody to be mindless robots or drones. He gave us free will for this reason.

  • This was taken from wikepedia...the definition of hard rock....this shit on here ain't

  • The glam metal of bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard and the rawer sounds of Guns N' Roses followed up with great success in the later part of that decade, before losing popularity in the face of grunge. Despite this, many post-grunge bands adopted a hard rock sound and in the 2000s there came a renewed interest in established bands, attempts at a revival, and new hard rock bands that emerged from the garage rock and post-punk revival scenes

  • Hard rock developed into a major form of popular music in the 1970s, with bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, AC/DC and Van Halen, and reached a commercial peak in the mid to late 1980s.

  • All I here is a bunch of screaming lunatics no hard rock at all!!!!!!!! FAIL!!!!!!!

  • @Nuttfair Im sorry you think that....But he does love you

  • @Nuttfair I wonder the same thing. But I will tell you that God loves every human being in this world. His love is undescribable. He loves us so much that he sent his one and only son to die on the cross for our sins. God has changed my life and I hope you can one day know him. I will pray for you :)

  • @Nuttfair You obviously have no idea how merciful God really is

And before you ask, YES, i do know him.

  • Wow.....the only way you can possibly put God in with muslic like this is in the statement, "This music is God AWFUL" This is all Satanic style demonistic screaming (unintelligible lyrics) black death metal. This is in no way shape nor form any kind of hard rock, or even heavy metal. heavy metal/Hard rock is Metallica/Megadeath/AcDc/Judas Priest/Led Zepplin genre etc. This CRAP has absolutely NO Christian spirit, holy spirit, praise, worship, themes WHATSOEVER. ---> Christian Metal lover.

  • Norma Jean is awesome.

  • skillet sucks AS I LAY DYING ROCKS u obviously have no respect for talent

  • how is this Christian....aaahhhh rrrrrgaaaaaaa AAAAAAAAAAA BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH? lol

  • THIS IS THE GAYIST SHIT IV EVER HERD FUCK RELIGON

  • Why do you suppose it is that both Christianity and satanism have adopted metal as their style of music?

  • how can this be christian? lol shit music (i searched for worst music and somehow got here)

  • good list! look up "for today" im sure you'll love them if you dont know about them

  • UnderOath <3

  • Brian "Head" Welch is awesome too! I recommend listening to him for those who havent yet!

  • Ah, the genre debates. It's almost cute at this point. In any case, great music. We can all agree on that.

  • @ draxys ABR destroys any rock/metal band you could name and they're Christian. You should restate your post to Rock/Metal bands should learn from Christian bands because a lot of them are better than any other bands.

  • Haste the day :)

  • This isn't hard rock....it's metal.

  • Ok WTF people?!don't critizes this music!all these bands are great.people get your f'n genres right because this IS Christian.See it's Christian Screamo,Christian metal, and Christian hard rock.If you can't understand them it's because you don't want to.I can understand all the screaming parts.if you don't listen to this music and left a comment or your a poser or your just critizing because you hate this music go f yourselves!bc it let's out peoples feelings.

  • lets all get one thing muthafuckin straight OK ..,, Christians should not be allowed to go anywhere near rock/metal.. FUCKEN PERIOD

  • There's a difference between Hard Rock, and Metalcore.

Hard Rock = Bands like Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin

Metalcore = Heavy metal riffs, screaming vocals, and super fast drums.

    And Skillet is Metal.

  • While the only band on this list that is actually hard rock is Skillet I am surprised that Becoming The Archetype wasn't included.

  • google= terrible quality

  • demon hunter is the best thumps up if u agree

  • cant understand shit their saying

  • I love Christian music, but one thing I don't understand is how a screaming band can call themselves a Christian band. A Christian band is suppose to have a message that relates to God. How can you have a message when nobody can understand what you are saying? Not bashing these bands, but I just don't get it.

  • Okay here we get modernized christian music. If you want classic christian music...

Check out vengeance rising, Mortification, stryper, deliverance, messiah force and on and on

  • as i lay dying is not christian

  • I knew it!!! UnderOath for the Win!!! But what about August Burns Red??

  • you forgot 12 gauge valentine and saint

  • This is screamo not hard rock

  • i was expecting underoath its num 1 on almost every one elses list

  • this is for the lord but come on guys this is alittle to far

  • dude demon hunter is the bomb i really like this list keep it up and keep the faith

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Where is August Burns Red!!!!!!

  • @COOLBEANS8029 recently ABR has claimed that everyone in the band is not christian, except for Matt and JB

  • @licr8 You are really bad at lying /watch?v=SoBbszqpkGQ

  • hard rock?

    never!!!

  • The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.

  • its an oxymoron!

  • I love most of the bands in this list (and a mighty fine list it is!) but I do have one question: Skillet is a very different style of music from the other bands listed. Don't get me wrong, I love Skillet, but why are they included in your list?

  • @branchbros they're in the hard rock genre

  • @underfan15 But they don't really sound anything like Demon Hunter, Devil Wears Prada, or UnderOath

  • @branchbros they're all in the hard rock genre, which covers all the "hard" and "heavy" subgenres.

  • @underfan15

uhh.....man,hard rock is something like Stryper or Petra.

The bands that you showed us are more close to genres like metalcore, heavy metal, alternative metal, screamo, undeath metal

  • @16karateka all these different versions of metal and versions of gay shit really piss me off =D

hard rock is like motorhead this craps just crap i must say the guitar work is brilliant but the screamo regardless of what name you give it will always be crap

  • @underfan15 is this christian songs?

  • @branchbros Yeah there's another list with Skillet under "Hard" rock too :/

  • @Stonerb13

Oh definately; best christian band ever!!!

  • A hívő kurva anyátokat!

You son of a prayer bitch!

  • Underoath is the best band ever! xD

  • this is not hard rock... not even close, if someone can tell me of real hard rock bands i hav been searching for them but because some ppl confuse genres its hard, i search for hard rock and i find from punk to screamo music, lol ( for u that doesnt have a clue hard rock is like GnR, van halen, Ac/Dc, airbourne and many others...

  • @farrex0 *sigh* i honestly get tired of having to explain this...hard rock is the root genre of all the genres of the "heavy" music scene. for examples, punk, goth, heavy metal, screamo, black metal, deathcore, hardcore, metalcore (you get the idea) and etc are all part of the very large "umbrella" term that is hard rock.

  • @underfan15 where did u got that I hav been hearing hard rock since 8 years and know hard rock bands in real person and that i have heard many definitions from hard rock from either bands and ppl who ust listen them, ust like me and its the first time i hear that, i Know that hard rock its very varieted, but many of that genres come fromfrom the alternative and metal, not hard rock

  • @underfan15

oooooohh you just pwned farrex0 lol

  • @farrex0

People don't have a clue on what the definition of a genre is. You think they'd understand that there's a massive genre difference between hard rock, and heavy metal.

Metal usually has more aggressive drumming via the usage of double bass, screaming vocals, and guitars usually feature more distortion, and less clean parts. Hard rock has more melodic vocals, straight drum beats (usually via 4th and 8th notes), and less aggressive guitar playing.

  • This is more of a top screamo rock bands not hard rock

  • underoath was my first screamo band i ever heard about 6 years ago and they are still my favorite band ever!!!

  • This is NOT christian music........

  • wtf....thisis not hardrock...

  • I agree why does christian music have to be meak

  • unlistenable. all of them

  • Haste the day is nasty =) there sucha good band, !!!!!

  • i dont get it? how is this christian?

  • @Munky360 because all of these bands are of christian faith and most (maybe all) proudly anouce themselves as a 'Christian Band'.

  • @Munky360

    lyrics .

  • I was about to flip if you didn't have underoath ^_^

  • How did Skillet get on here? They are so over Rated. I mean they're good. But they don't compete with DWP, or Inhale Exhale, or Demon Hunter, or As I Lay Dying. Idc about under oath so they can fit the same level of skill. lol

  • You've got a couple in there I'd have to disagree with, simply because of labeling.

Demon Hunter is metal/hardcore, like most of the bands in this list.

Good list though, but I personally would have put Demon Hunter at the top ("Driving Nails" is incredible).

  • @underfan15, @xBLAZINGxNUKESx, @natethegreatness the bible specifically says in ephesians 4:29 "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen"

  • @ifonlyyouandi57 Amen.

  • Hmmm...Underoath is pretty great, But out of these, As I lay dying is #1 for me.

  • my dude. most of the songs u posted are NOT hard rock.....just so you know.

  • *sigh....I was mislead by the title. Should've said best top 8 albums u only have...not artists. LOL.

  • Generally speaking, people who use profanity on a regular basis sound uneducated and ignorant. At least, that's what I've seen. While the Bible doesn't specifically say don't cuss, it does say honor you mother and father. For adults this doesn't apply very much, but for children it does. No matter the issue, you have to listen to your parents. Also, Nate makes a good point, profanity is a form of insult, so have some self control, and keep the cussing to a minimum. :)

  • ok, i want you all to check out: For Today. definitely my number 1 out of all the christian screamo/deathcore. all these bands up here are nice, but For Today will totally get you pumped up for Jesus dude. both lyrics and talents are WWAAAYYYY up there, and put even secular bands to shame by far.

  • Nah, It ain't got no pancake mix.

  • really wears august burns red and war of ages really underoath is christian hardcore or metalcore

  • underoath is number one forsure

  • skillet is better

  • But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

    mathew 5:22

  • in proverbs chapter 4 verse, well i can't remember the exact verse, but if you scan that chapter you'll find it. it says avoid ALL perverse speech...end of story.

  • inhale exhale, nuff said, a call to the faithful as been one of my favorite christian metal songs for about 2 years, can i get an amen?

  • inhale exhale, nuff said, a call to the faithful as been one of my favorite christian metal songs for about 2 years

  • RIP Underoath.

No they did not break up, but Aaron left, and they will never be the same. =/ At least I got to see them with Aaron still in the band. :)

  • Sorry friends.

In order for what I said to make sense you will need to read my posts from the bottom up

    :-)

  • she needs to not come here. In my own home I have the right to tell people how to speak or to please leave.

Sorry about the posts being upside down however it is a complicated subject that deserves a complete answer. Well a big answer. I won't say that I addressed everything but I think that I made some valid points.

  • Now some might want to argue that profanities are not unwholesome and that if a person does not mind being cursed at or called gross words than it is okay. Not so. It is God who decides what is what and He does make it clear that obscenities are obscene, vulgarities are vulgar, swearing and profaning are not good and all are unwholesome.

But there are places to enforce this and places to not. Once a person visits youtube he knows that people use rude language and if she does not want to see it

  • Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

and many places including Matthew 22:39 Believers are instructed to love their neighbors as they love themselves and in Luke 6:31 Followers of the Saviour are instructed to only do to other people things that they want done to them.

  • vulgarities and obscenities which take everyday things and debase them or just talk about or express in a crude manner and then there is swearing which actually again is using any of God's true names or titles as a curse.

There are Scriptures that are admonitions for all people and then there are Scriptures that are directed specifically at followers of Jesus. Too many people take the latter and try to force it on non-Believers which is non-Biblical.

  • Hey Everyone,

    Interesting video, thanks for sharing.

As far as the comments/questions around language: well of course profanity is words--that is the whole point of using them--words have specific meanings otherwise they would be sounds not words-- to profane means to make something that is holy not so-- so actually we have at least three catagories: profanities which are words that use any of the Names or titles of the real God in a disrespectful or blasphemous manner

  • Dude pretty sweet list, but I would have some re-arranges my list would have been: 1. P.O.D. ( I know there not metalcore but still they are the best in my opinion) 2. Blessthefall / As I lay Dying ( that could go either way) 3. UnderOath 4. The Word Alive( if they're still a christian band) 5. Oh, sleeper 6. Inhale Exhale 7. Gwen stacy 8. In Fear and Faith 9. Dear whoever 10. A kiss for Jersey / Upon Beaty Rests / Cry of The Afflicted.
  • I'm amazed. I was looking for new christian hard rock/hxc bands, but now i'm discovering a lot of bands i'm listening to already are christian. I know i should have payed more attention to the lyrics. But really? Norma Jean, The Devil Wears Prada, Haste The Day, they are christian? I always felt a bit guilty listening to them, guess i was wrong.

Having said that. UnderOath def. is my number 1 as well. Let just say that before i knew their music, i was an atheist.

  • TDWP for the WIN!!!!!!!!

  • Ok i have some questions for any1 who is willing to reply

Some people are saying that profanity is bad, others are saying it's perfectly ok. What is your opinion on this?

Also I know alot of christiansl(older ppl) tht say Christian metal is bad becaus it's "like the world" or "disrespectful" . Personally I think it's ok as long as it is praising God.

Please reply and if u have scripture from the bible to bak up ur opinion then that wud be great

  • @EnterThePuppet The fact is that profanity is just words. End of story.

  • @underfan15 maybe, but the Bible says in Epesians 4:29 " Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them." So with that I think just profanity in general isn't bad, just cursing someone with it. I think it's better to say I busted my ass yesterday than to call someone stupid.

  • @underfan15

Do you think Jesus used profanity?

  • @underfan15 How is that even a defence? Bearing false witness is also just words.

  • @EnterThePuppet Profanity has to do with proclaiming words on a person. If

you love like Jesus did, you would not want to put a word, curse or whatever

onto a person. Scripture reference: Matthew 22:37-39 of which verse 39 says

"And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

  • @yoonchi i agree, but i think that profanty by itself isnt bad, just cursing someone with it.

  • @EnterThePuppet

Whats wrong with metal? As long as it glorifies God! I dont really know which one, but i know that in Psalm it is said "praise him with the lyrre, the stringed intruments' etc, so some guitars , drums, etc, i see nothing wrong with that.

And profanity? You mean, as in swearing? Its wrong. It maybe doesnt personally seem wrong but the Bible makes it clear that God doesnt want it "cast aside all vulgar language," ...Nothin wrong with screamo though, in my opinion :D

  • @tokiohotel0795 dude i didnt say there was anything wrong with metal, i love metal, read my original comment. I'm just wondering what other people think about because my parents think its wrong whether its christian or not, and i think its alright. I just wanted to get some insight

  • @EnterThePuppet

    Cool, sorry.

well, I think its fine lol :D

  • @EnterThePuppet Dont wory about what they say. my pastors have nothing against that music. pluss god gave us voises to scream. being religious playing fluits and harps is not what god wants. he hates religious. follow his rules just dont be religious. so metal is perfectly fine. check out my church to...Morning star church in huntly il.

  • @MasterJimJim I respectfully disagree that God doe not want anyone playing flutes and harps. They are great instruments and make great music. It may not be someone's cup of tea and that is fine. God created music and loves all good music that is wholesome and positive.

I also respectfully disagree that God hates religion. Of course you could have a radically different definitionn of religion than I. Religion is an organised way to worship God. Remember He created Judaism. See Genesis & Exodus

  • @EnterThePuppet k this is just my opinion, see what you think.

In my opinion, there are curse words, and there are vulgar words. Curse words, i.e. D*mn or even F**k (if used to curse, like F-you), are "bad," they are sins (sorry dont have the scripture to back it up). Then there's everything else (s**t, a**) wich is not a sin, its just rude. With that said, there IS a verse (sorry again, dont have it) says if a less mature Christian sees it as a sin and sees you do it, it becomes unacceptable.

  • @EnterThePuppet in gods eyes profanity is not ok because the commandment "thou shall not swear" refers to those words

  • metal isnt rock, and neither rock or metal can be christian... i'm dissapointed too :(

  • UNDEROATH FOR THE WIN!!!

  • i dont think they are a christian band

  • yaeh...my favorite metal band are underoath. skillet and demon hunter,... !

  • Nice list...But...IMHO...it should go....#8 Inhale Exhale, #7 Demon Hunter, #6 Skillet, #5 Devil Wears Prada, #4 Underoath, #3 Haste The Day, #2 As I Lay Dying and #1 Norma Jean.....May I suggest you look at Children 18:3 and the greatest band August Burns Red...You will soon make them your #1.

  • you were right I disagree with this list, I have trouble with bands who sound like satan is singing backup vocals. I truly developed a headache from this batch, anyone have some tylenol

  • What's up with the profanity from you supposed Christians??

  • @AvaTheCrazy theres nothing wrong with profanity. they're just words.

  • @underfan15 yes but correct me if im wrong but god stated in the bible that profanity was frowned upon and using those words was sinful in its own nature

  • @xBLAZINGxNUKESx it says not to speak hatefully to one another, but thats it

  • @xBLAZINGxNUKESx This is very true, look up Ephesians 4:29, this also talks about why cussing is wrong. Another reason I love Christian rock, no cussing, just pure awesome music praising God. :)

  • @underfan15 If they offend people then they are more than words. Am I right? Love your neighbor as yourself. If you didn't like profanity you wouldn't want people using it around you either.

  • @natethegreatness Technically speaking, people can be offended by any words.

  • @underfan15 I'm offended somehow. o.O

  • We Came as Romans is a new good christian metal band along with Attack Attack [US] and old Still Remains

  • @wecameasromansfan okay one thing attack attack! is not Christian, there lead vocalist austin carlie left and he got kicked out/left the band so now they're keyboardist became they're new vocalist, so OFFICIALLY they r Not Christian but they're still amazing<3!

  • @XxTIffanyxXD

ya...I know...I liked their old lyrics better, but they are still amazing and the old singer sings for a band called Of Mice And Men who is also pretty good, but I got to say I still like Attack Attack better.

  • @wecameasromansfan Austin Carlile (ex singer 4 attack attack!) also got kicked out of Of Mice And Men cuz he was acting like a douche supposedly idk its just to much drama. YA AA is better my fav song is Bro Ashely Is Here

  • Thanks for uploading:)

But so many screamo bands sound alike to me.

  • isn't that hipocrit and contradictory the fact of Christian Rock exists???the church have always said that is the music of the devil in every single one of its forms...so...you are a bunch of FUCKING SINERS!!!!

and you are going to HELL!!!!! aaaajaja!!!

  • @MetalliWalls I'm a Christian, but, let's face the fact. The Church has a tendency to bastardize Christianity. Hell, the fact is that most of the Christian holidays were originally pagan holidays that the Church "Christianized"
