You should put Blue Stars in there next year. They were in the top eight, and other than crown they are the fastest rising corps. Plus this year they were a big fan favorite
Saw the 2008 DCI Show last night with the Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Knights, and Phantom Regiment to name a few...I didn't stick around for awards, but the Blue Devils or the Phantom Regiment won. It was incredible, and I really think our kids will learn from it. We took the 60+ kids in leadership at Abilene High School Band and had them come and watch the practice of the Phantoms, and the show, which i really though they learned a lot from, and i think they'll use what they saw.
What do you mean by "going to DCI"? If you are asking if I am marching in a corps, then no. If you are asking if I am going to a show, then yes, probably a couple. Maybe even Finals, it's in the works.
It's cool. I'm not saying the Crusaders suck or anything like that. I mean, I think anyone who marches anywhere has tons of talent. And I thought the past few years the BAC has had a rockin drumline. I will definitely remember to add them in the next video. And maybe I will grab them in the lot when I see them this summer and post that up too.
No offense, but I wouldn't consider Crusaders that recognizable. No offense, I love the BAC, and I am looking forward a lot to their show this year. Oh, and the last video I made had A CRAP LOAD of Cadets clips in it. So I figured that I could just leave them out.
I'm already gettin' pumped up about this season just after watching your vid! My favorite part is the upward panning shot of the Phantom Regiment DM. It really adds an epic flair to the video. Nice job!

I couldn't imagine that, even in my High School marching band I would get chills every time I took the podium. To be a drum major for a DCI core would be insane.
I would have loved like, a DCI symbol or something tacked on the end, that would have been a perfect ending. Also would have loved to see the BD drum solo, probably one of the trademark clips of this year.
It's part of ilife, so you get it if you have a mac.
If you have a windows machine, and you have windows movie maker, you can do the same thing. I know WMM sucks, but you can make it work. When you drag the video into the timeline, it'll show the audio for that clip. Right click, and click mute. Done! :)
Yes Phantom Regiment do deserve to be in this!!! Last years closer (the firebird)! OMG at the end, the drill was just running and running, you would think that they were gonna stopp but they didnt!
Very good choice of music, and excellent footage. The only thing is that it doesn't mention anything about DCI or the 2008 season - maybe next time you could add the logo at the very end and/or 2008. Good work!

1) Consider using a piece of music that means something to drum corps people, it may be more affective.
2) The black spaces between clips is not really effective, and comes off as being a bit distracting.
3) Don't be afraid to check out the official DCI trailers and Corps released material - those people are professionals.
4)The footage of BD starting at 1:37 is cool, but it goes to long, and throws off the flow.
5) Should consider cropping the ending Crown footage to get rid of the ESPN bar.
