I love how her songs have a deeper meaning and she makes you look for it instead of being all in your face.

In my interpretation, the song is less about God/religion and more about how people should behave, as in being more open and tolerant. She's telling people to look past differences - race, wealth, religion - and just get along. But of course, she's telling us this in a typical Lily fashion -- with a little edge and wit, hehe.
