This is real it was on cnn news. The wing snapped off due to the extreme g forces applied during aerobatics. The pilot was super skilled to put the plane into an aerobatic manouvre called a knife edge where the wings don't do anything at all. The fuselage and rudder fly the plane along with max power, it is a very difficult manouvre to perform...I know I've tried it. hats off to this guy amazing skill.

Flying it home on one wing is perfectly plausible with the engines availabe for RC planes. They can, and often will, fly straight up. This means they make more thrust than the weight, and if that's the case they can still fly with one wing.

Of course, this video, it's a load of bullshit. but it is possible for an RC aircraft to pull this off if it's got strong enough engines in it.

There is one thing in the video that proves it is fake. After the right wing brakes off, the plane rolls to the left. If it were real, the plane would roll to the right because the left wing is still producing lift...

Want evidence? ...Fact #1: Fuel tanks are located in the wings of the aircraft, and there's no fuel anywhere to be seen coming from the plane. 2: Even if the aircraft had enough horsepower to maintain knife edge flight that long, you'd be coming in so damn fast that the landing would have been REALLY ugly, even if he had managed to flip it onto the landing gear at the last moment, the impact would have ripped the gear off, and smashed the fuselage and the prop into the tarmac...etc, etc, etc

There's a very specific camera shake and blur effect applied to the video during the seconds where the plane bounces.

The bounce doesn't look really to me at all. I assume the blur and shake was applied to try and mask this, along with the cgi.

Being an RC pilot myself, and after flying hours of knife-edge flights, it's not as scary as you might think. Good thing this was a remote-controlled scale airplane. The ending is obviously composite After Effects work, but nicely done.

Knife edge flying is simple. Rudder, and aileron or elevator to offset any tucking that particular airframe will generate.
