I completely agree with you. It's not about genre of music, it's just about MUSIC, Turtledrum, you play very well, but that is without energy, without life, without any emotions. Just mindless hitting the drums and cymbals how the tabs shows. I think you should change it, show the energy of rock music when you play drums, "face it" like Tyler said , that will be so much better, trust me ;)

Personally for me, it depends. There is definately good death metal out there. However, there's still some really crappy stuff too. Generally the people who hate death metal, mix it up with deathcore, which really does suck. The difference is that Death Metal generally has a strong, driving rhythm, with a melodic, or at least semi-melodic guitar line. It doesn't suck at all. Deathcore is nothing but screaming, growling, random sounding drums, and random guitar screeches. THAT is what sucks.

i prefer zildjian over sabian. it all depends on what sound you want and what style of music you play. i like zildjian because of the tone and brightness you get out of them. i also like them because of the style i play. i play grunge, alternative, and some jazz/fusion. i dont like sabian because in my opinion they are dry and all sound the same. sabians are good for metal drummers. i like zildjian but not all of them. like the zbt and zxt suck. thats y i play a custom, a series, and k zildjian

Hey man, Blink 182 music is really easy to play but you did a perfect job on this song. spot on drumming and good job learning the song. Knowing you like blink 182( and i like em to so im not grillin on you) try some harder stuff from like 311, system of a down, linkin park, and maybe some Disturbed. You obviously can do it and what you need to work on is venturing off into new generas (check out the band Dream Theater) and learning some new stuff besides blink 182 because you can do it.
