@Kewekense if you have the master key you can open it, when you kill Moonlight Butterfly you can pick up the key in the tower it was protecting

i beat the knight guy at the bottom of the stairs by attacking and then luring him to the place where the fire bombers were. then i just climbed up and fire bombed him a lot. :I the light at the end of the stairs is some kind of ring that ups your defense when hp is low.

To go and get your souls back, the best way is to run directly and skip killing the creatures in between. This way you have a better chance at actually getting your body back.

I simply kited him away from the tower towards the other end, rolled past him, sprinted to the other end, climbed the ladder, plunge attacked him, and started over fro step one. Pretty sure it was a flawless victory. To your credit, you had no real prior knowledge of this battle which made it more difficult, but also more fun to watch.

@swenskminecraft At this point of the game it would be a waste to actually kill him considering you could get the drake sword which is better than Uchigatana with minimum difficulty after. The supplies that he has are well rounded early game with firebombs and arrows, which yes other merchants sell those but since its so close to a farming area he is very useful in early game. So really the only reward that you actually get is orange soapstone, a key (both can be bought) and 1 humanity.

It's much easier to get the Uchigatana if you kill the merchant, and once you level up, it'll be useless to buy anything from him since you're gonna be a high level. There's also merchants after the beginning part, YOU FOOL!

The best way to plow through the earlier stages of this game is to either acquire or buy a spear. You hide behind your shield and can attack at the same time eg. Spartans in 300. It really destroys those zombie things!

@CaptainSamGarrison Dead Souls is a game of Yakuza, but if you mean Dark Souls i would recommend that if want a real challenge with great gameplay that never feels old buy Dark Souls and if you want an immersive open world game with epic battles but no challenge at all buy Skyrim.

@EzioAuditore19981 Skyrim can be challenging as well, not nearly as much as Dark Souls, but if you switch the difficulty to the highest you do get plenty of feelings of accomplishment from devising your own strategies. I have to admit though, that it doesn't match the intensity of losing everything like you can in Dark Souls if you die again without revisiting your body.
